  1. https://www.playstationtrophies.org/news/news-34554-dead-spaces-original-creator-expresses-his-excitement-for-ea-motives-forthcoming-remake.html So now that is official what are you guys thoughts? Personally I am very hyped. We desperately needed a horror genre revival. It has been years since the last Dead Space game (2013). This and Glen Schofield's aka Striking Distance Studios' The Callisto Protocol (link) are some refreshing news for space survival horror games and lovers.
  2. What game very recently should get remade? Any game in the past 4 years. Whether you feel it was a great idea with a bad execution, need a few changes, or was great then but could be a lot better now. Which game(s) do you think should get a second try? Example: Lair It looked very promising but was poorly executed. Controls were hell, had repetitive gameplay and a not so great story.
  3. I searched but could not find any discussions about classic game remakes in general but maybe I didnt search hard enough so I thought I'd create one. I was just wondering what games you thought would make great PS3 titles even if only as a PSN download. To start with, I think that the PSN has opened a great opportunity for developers to cash in on re hashing all the old titles at our expense but I wish they would take it one step further from the usual. One game to single out for example is Tecmo bowl. When I purchased this PSN title I just knew I was in for hours of fun thinking I would be able to create a player, level him up, and take teams online for endless old school fun; Boy was I wrong. Instead of giving us the more popular Super Tecmo III they simply gave us the basic old boring original, now in HD! Wow! I know there is no one to blame but myself for not doing the research but I really dont get why these guys aren't getting the picture of what we really want. Now that that tiny bit of venting is out the way, here are a few of the games and ideas that I would love to see and hope come to the PS3. Streets of Rage 4: With PSN, it's now okay to sell 2d games again and this is the perfect chance and opportunity to get this series back in the picture. Include all the characters from previous series and some few new ones with a kick ass multiple ending storyline and us old school fans will come running while showing these new schoolers what beat em ups are really about. Megaman X Series: Bring back the old X series and even conclude with 9 and 10. Once again, keep this title 2d and give us what we've been missing. I'm old school but come on, Megaman with no mega buster is really just Megaman beta. Nobody wants to play a new Megaman with the "original feel". Zelda Legends: Okay this one may be a far stretch but something I think would be cool. I know that Nintendo probably wouldn't let one of their biggest icons shift to a different console but could you imagine if they gave Zelda a re launch to the PS3 console and did it right?! I can envision a darker side of the Zelda series with crystal HD graphics, some new threads of course, and a kickass storyline along the lines of Link returning to hyrule to find that Zelda has been killed, or so he thinks, thus begins the story of the new Link with the rage of Kratos. I know, maybe it's my imagination going wild but I really think it would be an epic game if done right and stayed true to the Zelda franchise just with a darker grown up side to it. Anyway let me know what you think and also some games that you would like to see in the future.

  5. If this thread is in the wrong place then I'm sorry and you can move it. As we all know Square Enix has announced that there is a probable chance that they will release FFX for the PS3 and maybe even the PS Vita. My question to the community is, would you rather have the normal version of FFX or the international version that featured Dark Aeons, the infamous Penance, and anything else that I wouldn't know? (I don't know because I never played the International version)

  7. It would seem as if Hollywood has found a new gold mine with high chance for profit because of an already established story and something that everyone can recognize... Live Action Remakes (of childhood classics)! Some that have already come out (most profitable): Snow White & The Huntsman Mirror, Mirror Cinderella Alice in Wonderland Maleficent Smurfs 1 & 2 Alvin and the Chipmunks (+ sequels) Disney is so convinced that they are making more: Jungle Book Alice Through the Looking Glass Cruella Tink Dumbo Mulan Winnie the Pooh Pinocchio Genies (Aladdin prequel) Night on Bald Mountain Sword and the Stone Untitled Prince Charming movie Chip N Dale Other studios have caught on as well: The Little Mermaid Jungle Book: Origins Pan Do you think this is the new craze, similar to Superheroes? Or will it die out quickly? Though, it seems as if Disney is trying to get the monopoly on these films... Granted, this is not the first time people have tried Live Action Remakes, but it seems technology is at the point where the remakes won't look bad. So, what do you think?
