Introduction

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X (PS4) is the emulated version of the horror classic that was released in 2001 for the PS2 console and as such, shares the same disadvantages of the original version, which were corrected in some way in the HD version released in 2011 for PS3, such as the bad lighting, shading and ghosting left by the characters when they move (among others). Additionally, you will get black borders at the sides of the screen because the original version had a 4:3 screen resolution.

Being a technically inferior version to the PS3 HD remaster, why bother playing this version again? Well, in addition to the 1080p scaled graphics, Capcom was very smart when it came to milking the series again and included additional trophies and the coveted Platinum! It is for this reason that I decided to write a new roadmap, which can be oriented to obtain the new trophies in a more efficiently way.

As a game, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X is a complex game, especially if you are new to the series and are more used to the latest games, which were more action-oriented and not so much survival-oriented. Many of the corridors are very narrow and are full of enemies, therefore, it becomes difficult to evade the enemies without taking damage. Also, it is one of the longest games in the series and with the largest number of bosses that could end your dreams with just one hit! Therefore, a proper preparation is essential to obtain the platinum trophy!

As for the roadmap, it is highly recommended (and doable too) to get all the the story mode trophies in one playthrough first and then focus on the battle mode. Keep in mind that this scenario is recommended if you are not interested in following the story or if you are looking to minimize the time invested in the platinum. Following a speedrun guide/video while playing the game, it’s widely possible to get all story mode trophies in one go, even if you have not played this game in a long time.

Finally, it is important to mention that there is a possibility of executing a glitch either for infinite life or "infinite" bullets, which would allow you (if you decide to use it) to obtain the story mode trophies with more ease. (Check the Infinite health/”ammo” Glitch section)

A note about controls

A difference with the HD version and the original PS2 version that is important to mention is that the functions of start and select have been reassigned to the touchpad, so if you want to quickly pass the cutscenes, you will have to press the upper left side of the touchpad, while if you want to enter the inventory menu, you must press the upper right side.

:tpleft:= Options/ Skip Cinematics

:tpright:= Inventory / Status

A note about regions

The game was released in three different versions. Thus, It is important to mention that this roadmap/guide is based on the NA emulated version of the game.

Now, while both the JP and the NA versions differ mainly in the ranking system. (The JP version includes a S rank equivalent to the A rank of the NA version), the PAL version of the game is a different story. Unfortunately, the PAL version runs at 50hz and while the emulator interpolates this at 60hz, it only causes additional judder not present in the other versions, this results in the game running at 25 FPS as a top, which makes it very difficult to obtain the time constrained trophies. Of all the versions, this is the least recommended. Consider this when choosing the store from which to download your game.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Beat Story Mode while getting all the missable trophies

Basically, what you will do at this step will be the following:

 • Get all the story related trophies(Section 4.1 covers all these trophies)
 • Get all red, yellow and blue files. (Check the “It´s Not All Dark and Gloomy”, “Feeling Blue” and “Reading Red” trophies description).
 • Get the Luger Replica to unlock Steve in Battle Mode (Check the “Rockfort's Finest” trophy description).
 • Beat the game in less than 4 hours (Check the “No Time to Kill” trophy description).
 • Earn a “Rank A” at the end of your playtrough (Check the “Weapon Crazy” trophy description).

Do not worry, there is plenty of time to do this approach. My personal recommendation is that you follow a speedrun video/guide (glitched or glitchless according to your preference), while considering all the "missable" trophies in the story mode (and the location of all the files of course). Plan each route in advance and, if possible, download / print the maps corresponding to each area to get an idea of the enemies and the items you will find.

These are some of the webpages I used with maps of the areas that you could use if necessary (I take no credit for any of this pages and you could choose to use any other you find trough your search engine):

www.evilsource.com

www.ign.com

www.the-spoiler.com

Step 1.5: Cleanup run

If for any reason you did not get any of the trophies in the story mode, this is the time to do it.

Start a new game or load the save data you had in the middle of the game and start from there.

Whatever your approach to the story mode is, at the end of this point you should earn the following trophies:

The Terror Begins (B)

Decorative But Deadly (B)

From The Young Lady (B) (Missable)

A Changed Father (B)

Duty and Humanity (Missable)

Tactical Upgrades (Missable)

Beyond the Shades (B)

The Fallen Tyrant (B)

The Prisoner Who Lost Everything (B)

Packing a Punch (B) (Missable)

To The Frozen Land (B)

It´s Not All Dark and Gloomy (S)(Missable)

Feeling Blue (S)(Missable)

Reading Red (S)(Missable)

The Green Giant (B)

The Arrogant Queen (G)

Weapon Crazy (G)(Missable)

No Time To Kill (G)(H)(Missable)

Step 2: Beat Battle Mode while getting rank A with all the characters

Battle Mode is unlocked once you finish your first playthrough and it has no specific requirements in terms of rank to obtain it.

It is a “Time Attack” sort of mode, in which you select one out of five characters (some of which have special conditions that you must meet to unlock them); each of which has a specific loadout of weapons, ammunition and healing items and try to overcome the 18 rooms filled with monsters and the room 19th which has an specific boss for each character. At the end of each scenario, you will earn a rank based on how fast you reached the final room and killed the boss.

The objective in this section will be to earn a “Rank A” with all the characters and obtain the hidden trophies related to each specific character.

At the end of this section you should earn the following trophies:

Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better... (S)

A is for Alternate (S)

Is It Cold In Here? (B)

I Can Do Anything Better Than You (S)

Eye of the Tiger (B)

Mirror Mirror (B)

Rockfort's Finest (S)

We Don't Sell 1-Ups (B)

Power Hungry (S)

I Spy (B)

Battle Master (G)

Slayer of Evil (P)

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/835.jpg The Green Giant (B)

Say farewell to your fallen comrade.

This trophy is storyline related, therefore it´s unmissable.

After arriving to Antarctica with Chris and switching to play with Claire for a short period of time, you'll meet Steve who will suddenly transform into a green giant monster. You will get this trophy after you escape from this fight as there is no way to kill Steve.
SPECIFIC STRATEGY

Though it’s a little difficult, It's is possible to escape this fight without being hit. As soon as the cutscene ends and the fight starts, take two steps towards Steve without running until you see his hands raise with the giant axe. At this precise moment, run towards the wall on your left and turn around his body until you hit the chair. Stay running here until Steve picks up the axe again and begins to turn toward the wall you ran towards before. Finally, use the space between him and the chair to run towards the corridor in a straight line until the next cutscene plays.

Down below is a short no video, which at time 09:49, shows how you can accomplish this. Anyway, be sure to take some healing items in case you screw up, as each hit from Steve will bring your health down to danger pretty fast. (I do not take credit for this video)

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/2ba.jpg The Arrogant Queen (G)

Put an end to the Queen's reign.

This trophy is storyline related, therefore it's unmissable.

You will get this trophy after beating the final boss. Simple as that!

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/a63.jpg Weapon Crazy (G)

Get the Rocket Launcher.

(Missable)

This trophy is missable, you have been warned.

In order to get the Rocket Launcher, you need to earn a “Rank A” for beating the story mode. You will get this trophy during the score screen after the credits.

Although the game does not give you a specific parameter of the requirements to obtain Rank A, there is a point system that has been circulating on the web for some years that give us certain lights on this issue. To summarize, the goal is to achieve a score between 10,000 and 10,800 points according to the following table:

Total Score points needed per rank

Lower Bound Upper Bound Rank

10000 10800 A

7000 9950 B

4500 6950 C

2500 4450 D

- 2450 E

The required specific parameters will be explained below:

a) Time: Time is the most important factor. You must complete the game in less than 4 hours and 30 minutes to get the highest score.

Time Score (NA version)

00:00:00~04:30:00 8250 points

04:30:01 - 05:00:00 7550 points

05:00:01 - 05:30:00 7000 points

05:30:01 - 06:00:00 6450 points

06:00:01 - 07:30:00 5500 points

07:30:01 - 15:00:00 5000 points

15:00:01 - 20:00:00 2500 points

> 20:00:00 2000 points

It is important to mention that while the time is still running when the game is paused or in the options menu, there is the possibility of suspending the application by opening another program such as YouTube or Spotify. You will lose a few seconds while the game is suspending but that will allow you to plan your route in advance and follow a speedrun guide more closely.

This trophy is missable, you have been warned.

(NOTE: Since patch 1.01, this trophy is glitched in a beneficial way. Just leave the game running from the start menu and the trophy will jump during the first or second demo. As easy as that!) Thanks to Druoxrodest for pointing it out.

The M93R is Claire´s first gun in the game, and is obtained after meeting Steve for the first time. In order to get this trophy, you need to have given the Hemostacic Medicine to Rodrigo (Check “Duty and Humanity” trophy description) and received the lockpick in return for your help.

Once you have obtained the lockpick, make your way to the Cremetorium (Check the map below) located on the 1F of the Prison and get the Duralinum Case from the bench next to the torture rack. Examine the Duralinum Case and you will be able to open it with the lockpick and get the M93R Parts, which you can combine with your Pistol. You will get this trophy as soon as you combine both items.

This trophy is storyline related, therefore it´s unmissable.

You will get this trophy after your second fight with the Tyrant in the airplane.
SPECIFIC STRATEGY

Depending on your strategy and your resources, this boss can be little or very complicated. If you have explosive bow gun bolts, it takes 24 explosive bolts to deal enough damage to the Tyrant so that it is ready to be pushed by the cargo box.

Alternatively, you can kill him without spending a single bullet, dodging his attacks and pressing the button to release the cargo 5 times.

Whichever strategy you choose, you will earn the trophy after pushing the Tyrant out of the plane.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/5c6.jpg The Prisoner Who Lost Everything (S)

Defeat the nameless man and end his suffering.

This trophy is storyline related, therefore it´s unmissable.

Just before you start playing as Chris, you will face an enemy called Nosferatu at the top of the Antarctic Transport Terminal (this battle happens after using the valve handle in the room filled with gas where you need to equip the gas mask). Defeat him to earn this trophy.
SPECIFIC STRATEGY

In order to defeat this enemy, you absolutely need to keep your distance (unless you choose a less orthodox strategy), not only because it emits a poisonous gas which can infect Claire with an illness no blue herb can cure (and thus, you will have to find a special serum with Chris which will make you lose valuable seconds), but because he can throw you out of the ceiling with a single hit, killing you in the process.

To kill him from distance, you can use the rifle obtained earlier and aim directly at the center of his chest, firing 6 to 7 well placed shots to kill him. Alternatively, you can use 30 explosive bolts to get rid of him quickly.

(It is even possible to eliminate Nosferatu using only the knife, but your timing must be perfect and you have to keep constant movement in order to not get hit).

Whatever your strategy you choose, you will receive the trophy after killing Nosferatu.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/c35.jpg Packing a Punch (B) (Missable)

Modify the Glock 17.

This trophy is missable, you have been warned.

The Glock 17 is Chris´s starting gun and as with the M93R, in order to get this trophy, you need to modify it in order to get the Enhanced Glock 17. The difference this time is that you don’t actually get the parts as an item to combine them with the gun, but you need to have your gun in your inventory when you reach the Weapon Repair Shop of the Military Training Facility B1, which is the same room where you get the Clement α from (Check the map below). Once you get there, examine the nearby desk and accept the modifications to earn your trophy.

You will get this trophy right after you get into the Harrier with Chris and the cutscene of flying to Antarctica to save Claire ends.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/3af.jpg It's Not All Dark and Gloomy (S) (Missable)

Collect all Yellow Files in the Story.

This trophy is missable, you have been warned.

Throughout your adventure, you will find different files and notes that will be saved in the "File" section, which can be accessed from your inventory.

In order to obtain this trophy, you must obtain the 7 files that are recorded in the yellow folder, 6 of which are obtainable with Claire during the first part of the game and 1 while playing with Chris.

Keep in mind that once you arrive at Antarctica (either with Chris or Claire), you will not be able to go back to Rockford Island and you will lose the possibility of obtaining the files that you have forgotten.

b) Saving Rodrigo (the jail guard).- If you took the time to return to the prison and give the medicine to Rodrigo, you will receive some extra points for your kindness (Check “Duty and Humanity” trophy description)

Give the Hemostatic Medicine to Rodrigo

Yes = +250

No = -1000

c) Saving Steve (Gold Luger Trap).- Early in the game, Steve's ambition will make him be trapped in the room where you first watch the Gold Lugers. You must run to this room and enter the sequence “C - E – Decide” on the electronic panel to release him in the shortest amount of time possible.

Speed it took to save Steve from the Gold Luger Trap.

Fastest = +400

Average = 0

Slow = -1000

d) Map Discovery.- Self explanatory. Enter each room in the game. Since the incremental score is that low, it's not something I would actually worry about.

Map discovery

100% = +100

Anything less = 0

e) Healing.- This point considers only the use of F. Aid Spray. Don’t worry, there are plenty of herbs scattered throughout the game, so it should not be a problem if you don’t use this item.

First aid spray

No use = +1800

If used = 0

f) Saving.- It is necessary to not save your progress in any typewriter in order to not lose points. This factor is probably one of the most complex since there are several possibilities of dying in the game quickly (and bosses that usually kill you in one blow). Luckily, there is a free save you get after killing Nosferatu and landing in Antarctica which doesn’t count.

Typewriter saves

No save = 0

First time = -1000

Every time after = -50

g) Retry.- Long story short, don’t die and retry. Just select No and start over.

Retries?

No Retry = 0

First time = -1000

Every time after = -50

(Missable)

This trophy is missable, you have been warned.

There is a second warning for this trophy. There have been reports of the trophy not unlocking for a time above 3 hours and 30 minutes. (This issue has been fixed since patch 1.01) Thanks to Druoxrodest for pointing it out.

Pretty explanatory. Just finish the game with at time below 4 hours. It is important to mention that while the time is still running when the game is paused or in the options menu, there is the possibility of suspending the application by opening another program like youtube or spotify (no other game), you will lose a few seconds while the application is being suspended but it will allow you to plan your route in advance and follow a speedrun guide more closely.

Unfortunately I coudn't record my speedrun, but with the approval of two famous speed-runners, I selected two speedrun videos (one for a glitched run and one for a no glitch run) that will definitely help you in your quest.(By the way, I do not take any credit for the videos posted below).

My personal recommendation, if you are new to the game or haven't played the game for a long time or just want to speed things up, grab the glitched video but do not glitch the flame bolts. Instead, glitch a mixed green herb (you can do this very early in the game) and then just run like if you got infinite health (Check the Infinite health/”ammo” Glitch section for a guide on how to glitch herbs)

Section 4.2 Battle Mode Trophies

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/5d7.jpg Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better... (S)

Earn an A ranking in Battle Game with Claire.

In order to get this trophy, you need to earn Rank A in battle mode with Claire (costume A), which can be achieved by killing all the enemies in the 19 rooms (including the specific boss in the last room) within a time below 6 min 10 sec.

Here is a video I made with instructions on how to get Rank A (there is a Spanish version on the channel too)

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X Claire (A) Rank A - Battle Mode

[ame]

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/5820/3b0.jpg A is for Alternate (S)

Earn an A ranking in Battle Game with Alt. Claire.

In order to get this trophy, you need to earn Rank A in battle mode with Claire´s alternate costume (costume B) which you unlock by finishing Battle Mode with Claire (Costume A) with any rank. For this, you need to kill all the enemies in the 19 rooms (including the specific boss in the last room) within a time below 8 min 00 sec.

Here is a video I made with instructions on how to get Rank A (there is a Spanish version on the channel too)

Section 5.0 Infinite health/”ammo” Glitch section

In a simple way and without bore you with technicalities, what this glitch does is to take advantage of a code error created within the first item of your inventory at the start of the game (the Playing Manual) to allow you to create either a healing item with infinite properties (green herb , mixed herb, First aid spray); or (and perhaps in a little more complex way), allow you to "transfer" the effects of an ammunition equipped into your gun to another type of ammunition stored in your inventory (i.e the explosive bolts effect of a bow gun equipped with this arrows is transferred to the normal bow gun arrows in your inventory) as if it were the amount of ammunition equipped in the weapon, giving an effect of infinite ammunition.

For the glitch to work, you MUST NOT read the Playing Manual directly from your inventory, but instead, read it from the File section, this will make the manual disappear and will have an effect on the next two items on the right of it (a weapon and a healing item or a weapon and ammunition).

Finally, it is important to mention that the glitch works only once per playtrough, so you must choose if you glitch the healing items or the ammunition.

Section 5.1 Infinite Health (Infinite healing items)

In order to obtain a healing item with infinite properties you must follow the following steps (this is an example with a green herb at the beginning of the game):

1. Start the game (you can do it at any time, however it is important that you understand the steps to be taken before executing the glitch) and go - without picking up any item and WITHOUT READING the Playing Manual - outside the cells and the cemetery.

2. Get the handgun from Steve as soon as you finish the cutscene and DO NOT use it for any purpose.

3. In the next section (Barracks Yard), find the green herb from the wooden railing near the door that leads to the wooden barracks (above the stairs).

4. Your inventory should be aligned as follows: 1) Playing Manual, 2) Pistol, 3) Green Herb.

5. Verify that your gun is equipped and go to the Files section, choose the Blue Folder and read the Playing Manual from this location (NOT from your inventory items). The manual will disappear from your inventory.

6. Your green herb (or Mixed Herb or F. Aid spray) will be equipped in the gun (because of reasons lol).

7. Shoot your gun once.

8. That´s it! The healing item you chose will remain glitched forever and may even be transferred to Chris (I suggest putting it in the box before the fight with Nosferatu)

(NOTE: It is Important to mention that if you mix this green herb AFTER executing the glitch, the effects will disappear)

Here I recorded a small video in which I show you how to glitch a green herb at the beginning of the game.

Section 5.1 “Infinite” Ammo (Transferable ammunition effect)

In the case of ammunition, the effect is not to generate an infinite amount of uses, but instead, to allow you to transfer the effect of a specific type of ammunition equipped on a weapon (for example, a bow gun with gun powder arrows) to a different type of ammunition in your inventory, which will be used in place of the ammunition that you have equipped (that's why the quotes in the infinite term). Here is an example with the bow gun and explosive ammunition to make it clearer:

1. To begin, DO NOT READ the Playing Manual with which you start in your inventory.

2. Get the Bow Gun (it could be the grenade launcher too if you are willing to wait longer) and DO NOT use it until you execute the glitch.

3. Get a high number of Bow Gun Arrows (for example 100) and get some Gun Powder Arrows (which are obtained in less quantity, for the example, let them be 10).

4. Combine the Gun Powder Arrows with the Bow Gun (it will be loaded with 10 explosive arrows).

5. It does not matter what you have in your inventory before these items, however, for the glitch to work, your inventory should be aligned as follows: 1) Playing Manual, 2) Bow Gun (with Gun Powder Arrows equipped), 3) Bow Gun Arrows.

6. Go to the Files section, choose the Blue Folder and read the Playing Manual from this location (not from your inventory items). The Manual will disappear from your inventory.

7. Your Bow Gun will be equipped with the explosive bolts but will use the inventory (normal) arrows instead. That is, you will have 100 arrows with explosive effects!

8. The weapon you chose will stay glitched forever and can even be transferred to Chris (I suggest putting it in the box before the fight with Nosferatu)

(NOTE: It is important to mention that if you combine this gun with other ammunition AFTER executing the glitch, the effects will disappear)

No Time To Kill was patched as of 1.01 (NA).

Tactical Upgrades is now glitched with 1.01 in a beneficial way. Idle at the title screen and when the game loads the demo gameplay with Claire underground the trophy will pop.

EDIT: The timer pauses with L1 + Start function although I have suspicions it may fail to pause the timer based off the 1.00 version. I don't know if it may be faulty in 1.01.

Nice work, very detailed, been waiting for a guide before I start this.

A couple of things I would mention are that you should include a warning somewhere preferably in the roadmap that the EU version is way harder to get the platinum on due to the game running slower at 50hz.

Also I wouldn't consider the battle mode trophies missable, since you can just try again right away, I understand why you would think that though, I just think it's slightly misleading :p

Looks good though overall, I look forward to using this soon :)

So glad No time to Kill got fixed, Thxs for the heads up on that and Tactical Upgrade! Gonna run a few tests and add them to the guide when i get back home.

Not so sure about the L1+start function. I have a saved data in the middle of the game, might as weel go trough it again while pausing the game for a couple of hours to see if it works. Unless we get more confirmations...

Good suggestion! I left the pal version aside on purpose because after all these years, I thought nobody would want to buy that version lol.. but fair enough, i will add it.

Btw, you are real lifesaver!!! now the videos are embedded!:applause:

Ok, tested Tactical upgrade. You were right! Though I got the trophy during the second demo. I will add it to the guide with the corresponding credit.:D

Good looking guide. Just some pointers :)

Don´t think you need to write by author in OP. GT will fix it anyway.

Also the roadmap needs to be alone, not with the guide. You probably need another empty post.

Last one. you need to remove sig from your post. Just edit your post then go advanced and below there is a section to show signature. Just remove it :)

Some more pieces of advice from my experience.

For The Fallen Tyrant
1st fight: 1 BOW Gas Round + normal grenade rounds.

2nd fight: 2 BOW Gas Rounds + 14-16 (don't remember number) is enough to make the leg bleed.

For The Prisoner Who Lost Everything
It's not a big deal if Claire gets poisoned. You will lose maybe 5 minutes at most if you do not plan in advance. I would recommend mentioning a convenient time to get the serum and assume you will be poisoned in the fight. For example, after freeing Claire and then picking it up on the way to grabbing Alexander's ring.

For the The Green Giant story trophy:
If I remember you can fire a grenade round into him and run away immediately he will not be able to catch up and hit you.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE2Tkm4DvtM[/ame]

You need at least 2 full healing items if you choose to run immediately instead. 3 if you do not skip the cutscene.

About the old A rank score system:

Specifically the Steve part.
Speed it took to save Steve from the Gold Luger Trap.

Fastest = +400

Average = 0

Slow = -1000

A lot of people get nervous for this part because they don't know how quick they have to be. If Steve says something like "What took you so long?" or if the scene that plays where Steve is almost unconscious you messed up. Time is lenient to save him so if you know the code and still mess it up you will be fine.

For Claire B's Battle Game:
Only way I ever beat the Tyrant at the end was to immediately run to the side of the Tyrant (right arm? been too long) and fire normal grenade rounds upwards into him (shotgun range). It kinda stunlocks him but every run he has hit me at least once. Once you get the setup down it's over.

For Wesker's Battle Game:
Do not be too distant when firing the magnum at her. The game nerfs the damage per shot and there is also that RNG factor where you may (rarely) miss a shot. It's been a while but I believe you can afford to lose 1/6 shots overall after picking it up (I use it on room 18 with the explosive barrel).

Treat the magnum as it were a shotgun but don't use the gun within too close of her grabbing distance. In one of my runs I fired what was supposed to be enough to kill her only to have to run around and get a slash in. Fun times.

Or you could always solely knife her too.

I don't think the battle game trophies should be listed as missable, you can just replay them and try again if you fail to meet the target time.

Also for the Linear Launcher trophy you mention the infinite herb/ammo glitch, I assume this was meant to be placed under the RL/Speedrun trophies? Since the Linear Launcher is just battle game related and you can't use those glitches.

Thank you very much for sharing your strategies! At first didnt want to enter into too much detail with the boss fights strategies because I was focusing into doing quick roadmap. But much appreciated!

Thanks for your suggestions! Yeah, I have been dealing with this issue in my mind. I do think they are missable in the sense that you can beat any specific character sceneario without getting any trophy. But you are completely right that you can try them over and over and that they dont take too much time (unless its Wesker´s scenario). Let me think about it when I go back home and I might as well change them if that will make it clearer for other trophy hunters . (Though I already submitted the guide for revision and I dont know if I have to wait before doing any modification)

As for the Linear launcher point, the glitch is inlcuded in a different section (section 5) and not under the trophy specific description.

I've added another post anyway so the Road Map can have posts 1+2 to itself but whoever takes on your Guide, will probably add more if they're needed :). Also, here's a pro-tip for you :): Always Edit your Guide in Advanced mode instead of Quick Edit, else you run the risk of exceeding the Character limit. It also helps to disable the Enhanced Interface so the forum software doesn't add any pointless/redundant additional formatting (User CP => Edit Options => Miscellaneous Options => Message Editor Interface => Change to the Standard Editor => Save Changes) :).

Steve's Battle Game is missable if you do not pick up the Luger in the story and since that's missable so is the Linear Launcher trophy.
