Let me retype this for you with the important points bloded:
I have not seen any adolecent or core gamer use a Nintendo portable gaming system for an extensive peroid of time; because the games provided does not match their tastes. They are a minority, however, in contrast to the casual players like children and parents where they just want to play around with what they have.
The "better games" concept that is overused by Nintendo trolls does work statistically, but given the location of this discussion and the kind of install base here, it is not valid. Sure, the controls of the NDS are "better laid out", but to use that as an argument about specific games is outright stupid! I myself would much rather play Lair tru RP than play Pokemon.
Keep in mind that Nintendo and Sony have different market goals. Nintendo is focused on the gaming experience, while Sony makes their playstation systems for multimedia purposes. As for Microsoft and the Xbox 360, it continues to excel in social communications and networking.
This is not about the games here, but rather what you can juice out of your systems, which Nintendo still needs to progress.
BTW all the things about sony admitting they screwed up with things like the PSPgo is pure BS. if you look carefully into how these products are entered (meaning from sony's viewpoint rather than some arrogant playstation-haters), you would realize that Sony is still doing a stellar job. The reason that the PSPgo for example is undersold is because people are scared off by heavy ciritizing, and poor buisness system of the buyers who have bought the 3000 like the end of the world, when the differences were still puny.
Speaking of which, when the 2000 came, that went slow due to poor marketing. When the 3000 came out, there were complaints of the screen interlacing. and now the PSPgo gets the same fate, but for what... price??? its already on par now so stop complaining!
And now let me put it in the language suitable foy you...
Nintendo is NOT hardcore. It certainly was not and does not intend to be.
Nintendo remains focused on the casual gamers, which it does a good job on.
Nintendo games dont actually "suck" as you see us saying, but It has no match with our tastes. If a person likes a nintendo system, i have no problems with that. But if somebody uses it to make everything else look stupid and insignificant, thats where an annoying but funny paradox comes in (AKA you).
Just WHO has given you the rights to say that nintendo has "better games"? Maybe for you, but this is shoving an off-topic opinion into a irrelavent site base. You are in a site dedicated to hardcore gaming (casuals dont give a s*** about trophies, and would not care about sites like this one).
Nintendo is indeed starting to move into the hardcore market, but for now it is rather small, and all of it is on the Wii. In the same view, some Sony products are aimed at very specific groups of people. You may not be a part of it, but it is not a justification to call the product useless or the group(s) stupid.
Do not undersetimate my intellectual capabillities. i have already written alot about HDMI cabling in one of my threads, and i can easily put that level of detail here. I can at least put some practical explainations, unlike you.
