Gemini: Heroes Reborn is a first person action-adventure that is also unique to the Heroes Reborn TV Series. In Gemini: Heroes Reborn, you'll play as Cassandra as she tries to discover who she is and the mystery about her past. Along the way, Cassandra discovers that she has incredible powers such as Telekinesis and Time Shift. Use these special powers to defeat enemies and solve puzzles.

Trophy wise, Gemini: Heroes Reborn has no missable trophies, you can platinum the game in 2-6 hours and the best thing about it all is that it can be platinum on Easy difficulty. Nearly all trophies are story related and there are only a few trophies that you really need to be concerned about. These trophies are things that are combat related, miscellaneous, or collectible related. If you didn't unlock these trophies then you can go back to previous levels using Level Select.

Since there are no difficulty trophies in this game, this section will be composed of general tips and controls:

General Tips:

  • You move faster and jump further when Time Slow is activated. When you use Time Slow, enemies may lose sight of your position. Some enemies can dodge thrown objects, but cannot dodge while Time Slow is activated. You can always catch bullets if they're moving slow enough. You are almost always more powerful than your enemies during Slowed Time. You can stop time only for a limited amount of time during Time Slow, so use it wisely.
  • Mark enemies by looking at them. If guards see you, they will attack. Stay hidden to avoid combat or kill the enemies.
  • Follow way-points to navigate through the story.
  • Your glasses will display both types of Stamina for you: Blue is for Telekinesis. Orange is for Time.
  • Hazardous objects are highlighted with an icon that represents the danger type. Hazardous objects can also be used against your enemies.
  • You can TK Hold objects in front of you to block incoming bullets. Throwing explosive objects is highly effective. If an object is highlighted yellow, it is too heavy for you to pick up using Telekinesis.
  • When in trouble, running away is always an option. Find places where you can use the environment to your advantage. Time-Shifting to the other time period can be a safe escape. Try combining abilities and discover new ways to deal with enemies such as catching and returning enemy projectiles. Headshots are super effective.

Controls:

  • Press :cross: while moving towards an obstacle or object to climb
  • Press :l3: to sprint and then :cross: in order to wall climb or long jump
  • Use :r3: to crouch and get through small spaces
  • Press :circle: to Time Scout, use Time Scout as a Stealth technique across time periods
  • Use :r1: to Shift between time periods (known as Time Shift)
  • Use :l2: to grab objects. Hold down :r2: until charged then release :r2: to throw them (Telekinesis)
  • Use :l2: to lift and hold objects (TK Hold)
  • While holding an object using :l2:, press :r2: to Telekinetic Throw objects at your target (TK Throw)
  • Use :l1: to stop projectiles (Projectile Deflection)
  • You can use :triangle: to toggle the speed of time. Slowing down time will drain your stamina (Time Slow)
  • While sprinting :l3: and using Time Slow :triangle: jump :cross: to cross large distances (Super Jump)
  • Hold :r2: to charge a powerful Telekinetic Blast. Use it to attack enemies if you can't find an object to throw (TK Blast)

Step 1: Complete the Campaign on any difficulty while Finding 30 Secrets + Getting all Miscellaneous Trophies

This is your first step in obtaining the platinum. As mentioned before, you can play this game on any difficulty and still obtain all the trophies. Beginning a New Game on Easy difficulty is the ideal choice for fast and easy platinum. You can change the difficulty at any time you wish. Your main goal for this step is to focus on completing the campaign and unlocking all story related trophies. While you're focusing on completing the campaign, you should also be finding 30 out of 36 Secrets. Secrets are collectibles of things such as items, comic issues, documents, child drawings, and photographs that can be found throughout the Quarry. If you're playing the game without a collectible guide, you'll be able to find most of these Secrets naturally. There are some Secrets that are well hidden, and if you're following a collectible guide, you'll unlock the trophy as early as Level 13: Digging Deeper. I recommend that you use my collectible guide to find them all. Last of all, it's highly recommended that you go for all combat related and miscellaneous trophies during this playthrough. Nothing is missable as there is a Level Select, but obtaining these trophies will reduce the time needed for you to cleanup trophies. Most of these trophies will unlock naturally, but the ones that won't come naturally are the trophies for throwing 1,000 objects with Telekinesis and catching 10 rockets. If you keep those two things in mind and focus on unlocking them on your first playthrough, you'll only be missing one trophy which can only be unlocked using Level Select or starting a New Game, and that trophy is the hidden bronze trophy called (B) New Paradigm.

If you've followed this step correctly, you'll unlock the following trophies:

(G) Red Mouser

(G) Throw All the Things

(S) Nosce Te Ipsum

(S) Adventures in Wonderland

(S) A Box in the Hand

(B) Dropped Your Glasses

(S) A Wrinkle

(G) Something Old

(S) What Was Up

(S) Assembly

(S) Search for Truths

(S) From Light

(S) Old Cages

(S) Lost Myself

(G) My Only Friend

(S) Secrets, Secrets

(G) Hot Hands

(S) Deep Cavern

(S) Lost Secrets

(G) Bonum Nox

Step 2: New Paradigm - Level Select Cleanup

Regardless, this step will be needed no matter what. Now if you followed the roadmap correctly the only trophy you should be missing is (B) New Paradigm. If so, simply load any level that you previously beaten and then press :options: and select “Quit” to unlock the trophy and your (P) Platinum Trophy. However, for those still missing trophies now is the time to clean them up. Use Level Select to go back to previous levels and refer to the trophy guide section for more information.

You'll mainly be missing these following trophies:

(G) Red Mouser

(G) Throw All the Things

(S) Secrets, Secrets

(G) Hot Hands

(B) Dropped Your Glasses

(B) New Paradigm

(P) Platinum Trophy

Found all Trophies for Gemini: Heroes Reborn

Collect all other trophies to unlock this trophy. Congratulations!

You killed a dozen enemies via Deathtraps

First of all, dozen means a group or set of twelve, so in order to unlock this trophy, you must kill at least 12 enemies via Deathtraps. Deathtraps in Gemini: Heroes Reborn are hazards. Hazards are hazardous objects that are highlighted with an icon that represents the danger type such as the following hazardous icon:

http://i.imgur.com/FOSGu6U.png

Hazardous objects can be used against your enemies to kill them in a variety of different ways. Hazardous objects will first start appearing in levels during Level 4: A Wrinkle and onward. To kill enemies, you must use your Telekinesis powers by holding :l2: to grab objects and then press :r2: to throw them into the hazardous object. Rinse and repeat this 12 more times throughout your playthrough until the trophy unlocks.

Additionally, there are a few more things that you must know. If you're killing enemies this way from the start of Level 4, then the earliest time the trophy can unlock is during Level 6: Going Down. If you still need the 12 kills, the best place is Level 15: Bonum Nox because the starting room is filled with hazardous objects and you're required to kill all the enemies in this area before moving on anyway. Last of all, you cannot farm this by killing yourself or by loading from the last checkpoint. Kills only carry over whenever you reached a new checkpoint.

Below is a list of all hazards

  1. Giant Fans
  2. Electrical circuits
  3. Crush machines
  4. Molten steel
  5. Flame coming from pipes
  6. Acid pools
  7. Collapsing walkways

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3792/66a.jpg Throw All the Things (G)

You Threw 1000 Things

This trophy might be you last trophy if you wasn't actively farming it during your first playthrough. In order to throw things you first need to learn Telekinesis, which is learned during Level 3: Within Your Grasp. With Telekinesis, you can use :l2: to grab objects. Hold down :r2: until charged then release :r2: to throw them. Your first playthrough will be enough for you to get about 400-600 Telekinesis throws.

Below is a listing of things you can grab:

[spoiler=throw1k]

  • Enemies
  • Crates
  • Boxes
  • Computers
  • Phones
  • Trashcans
  • Lockers
  • Cabinets
  • Chairs
  • Containers
  • Gasoline Gas Cans
  • Explosives
  • Generators
  • Barrels
  • Pallets
  • Rocks
  • Pipes
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Vents
  • Tables
  • etc.

In order to farm this without charging your throws, just find any object that you can grab with your Telekinesis powers using :l2: and then press :r2: to throw it. I like picking up vents and throwing it at the floor repeatedly. Personally, I was actively farming this trophy while playing by picking up an object and throwing it 50 times (if you're fast enough 1 minute is about 50-60 throws) before moving on to another level. When I got to Level 9: Into Darkness, I found this to be a great spot to finish the remaining 1000 throws I have left because there's a vent you can grab and throw at the start of the level.

Below are the best levels to select that have objects you can grab at the start of the level:

  • Level 4: Wrinkle
    • Grab and throw the vent repeatedly

[*]Level 5: Someplace Old, Someone New

    • Grab and throw the barrel repeatedly

    [*]Level 9: Into Darkness

    • Grab and throw the vent repeatedly

    [*]Level 10: Old Cages

    • Have multiple objects you can grab and throw repeatedly

    [*]Level 13: Digging Deeper

    • Have multiple objects you can grab and throw repeatedly

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3792/612.jpg Hot Hands (G)

Caught 10 Rockets

During Level 4: Wrinkle, you'll learn an ability called Telekinesis Projectile Catch, which can catch and return enemy projectiles. Many players will use this ability to catch bullets and send them back at enemies. For this trophy, you must catch 10 rockets and not bullets. In order to catch and return enemy projectiles, do the following:

  • Toggle on Telekinesis Projectile Catch with :l1: (auto-catches projectiles if Time Slow is active)
  • When the enemy pulls the trigger toggle on Time Slow :triangle:
  • Press :l2: or :r2: to fire the projectile(s) back at enemies

Now that you know how to TK Projectile Catch, you need to find an enemy with a Rocket Launcher. These types of enemies won't appear until Level 13: Digging Deeper. During this level, a small cutscene will trigger before you can proceed. Afterward, you're required to kill the Rocket Launcher enemy. Instead of killing them, farm the trophy on him by repeatedly catching the same rocket in the air over and over until the trophy unlocks. To do this you must have TK Projectile Catch activated with :l1: and press :triangle: to enter Time Slow. Once you caught his rocket, turn it away from him so you don't kill him by mistake. Now press :l2: to release the rocket and then quickly press :l1: to automatically catch the rocket again. Resin and repeat this 9 more times until the trophy unlocks:

Found 30 Secrets

This is a collectible trophy for finding 30 Secrets. Secrets are things such as items, comic issues, documents, child drawings, and photographs that can be found throughout the Quarry. There are a total of 36 Secrets that can be found in Gemini: Heroes Reborn, but for the trophy to unlock you only need 30 out of 36 Secrets found. If you're playing the game without a collectible guide, you'll be able to find most of these Secrets naturally. There are some Secrets that are well hidden and if you're following a collectible guide you'll unlock the trophy as early as Level 13: Digging Deeper. When you find a Secret, you must press :square: to interact with it. Interacting with the Secret will not only cause you to collect it, but your current progress of Secrets found will appear at the top of your screen. Last of all, in order to view how many Secrets are in a level or how many that you've found or missed. You can go to the game's main menu and select "Load" to enter the Level Select screen. Click here for a texted and photo version of the Secret Collectible Guide or use the excellent video guide below:

You Died

Self-explanatory. For this trophy, all you need to do is to have died at least once by letting your health hit 0%. This should naturally unlock for you in your first playthrough, if not then you can kill yourself in the following ways:

  • Jump off a ledge where you can fall to your death
  • kill yourself in one of the many dangerous hazards
  • Let enemies shoot you to death
  • Let enemies melee you to death
  • Let yourself get killed during the boss fights

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/3792/c31.jpg New Paradigm (B)(H) :tagsubsequent:

Paradox Detected

After completing the game, return back to the main game menu and select "Load" to enter the Level Select screen. Now load any level that you previously beaten, and then you can either complete the level while collecting Secrets that you've missed from your first playthrough or you can simply just press :options: and select “Quit” to unlock the trophy. It should be noted that Level 16: The End won't unlock the trophy.

Boss Fight Strategy:

[spoiler=Alex] Alex is the first major boss fight in the game and is quite simple to defeat. There two phases to this fight, with the first phase requiring you to destroy the pillars on the platform that Alex is standing on. There are a total of five pillars and the only way to destroy them is to catch the debris that Alex throws at you using Telekinesis Projectile Catch. Activate it with :l1: and then toggle Time Slow by pressing :triangle:. Once you caught a debris, throw it at a pillar with either :l2: or :r2:. Rinse and repeat this 2-3 more times until he falls during a cutscene.

During the final phase of the fight, Cassandra will learn a new power called Telekinetic Blast. With this ability you can fight Alex by shooting him with charged Telekinetic blasts attacks. To damage Alex, enter Time Slow and get close to hit him by holding :r2: and releasing. This will cause Alex to fall into a fan sustaining more damage. When he raises from the fan, he'll create a tornado storm in the area. Keep your distance and use Time Slow to your advantage and grab an object from the storm's debris, make sure you got a clear shot and throw it at him. Alex will then hover over a fan, so hit him with a TK blast to get him to fall into the fan again. Rinse and repeat this until Alex is defeated.

Completed Temporal Loop

Story related, cannot be missed. Once you have completed Level 15: Bonum Nox, you’ll unlock this trophy.

Boss Fight Strategy:

[spoiler=Trevor]Trevor is the final boss fight of the game and he's not that tough either. This fight will consist of three different phases. At the start of the fight, enter Time Slow with :triangle: and TK grab and throw the three guard enemies. After you killed the three guards, TK grab Trevor and then Time Shift back into past time. This will bring Trevor back to the past along with you; now use Trevor to destroy the Quarry. Simply use Telekinesis Projectile Catch to catch his fireballs and throw them at the blue power cores. Rinse and repeat this two more times until Trevor runs into the next area.

For the second phase of this fight, kill the two guards who joined the fight. After the enemies are dead, use Trevor once again to destroy the yellow power cores. You do this by standing next to the power core and Trevor will jump towards you and cause a shockwave strong enough to shatter the generators. Additionally, you can also just enter Time Slow and TK grab Trevor and walk his body into the yellow power cores which will break them. Resin and repeat this three times until the blue power cores are revealed in the center of the room. Once again, simply use Telekinesis Projectile Catch to catch his fireballs and throw them at the blue power cores. Rinse and repeat this two more times until Trevor runs into the next and final area.

In the final area and phase of this fight, all you need to do is toggle Time Slow and TK grab Trevor. Now use Trevor to destroy the three large pillars around the room's walls. Once these are destroyed, the Omega generator will appear in the center of the room with blue power cores. Once again, just enter Time Slow and TK grab Trevor. Now walk his body into all five power cores to defeat him and then escape the building in the next scene that follows.

I went ahead and uploaded my guide so it be much easier for me to edit. Got to reformat my collectible trophy as the trophy description was too long, so I made a new section for it below the guide. Will get that uploaded soon. Got to upload all my images as well.

Anyway guide is open for commends, suggestions and feedback.

Being a huge fan of the series, I've been waiting for this since they announced it. It came out this week in Europe, I really enjoyed it.

I already had found the 30 secrets but came here to find the remaining ones and to find out the best place to throw the 1000 things.

Thank you so much for the guide, it's great. :)
