Destiny Trailer Has the Strength of the Wolf

Bungie has released a new trailer for its upcoming MMO-ish sci-fi shooter Destiny, and it's freakin' brilliant.

Directed by Iron Man (and Elf!) helmer Jon Favreau, the trailer stars the bloke who plays Los Pollos Hermanos boss Gustavo Fring, and it's called 'The Law of the Jungle'. Unfortunately, it doesn't feature any gameplay, put the blend of live-action and CG is still enough to get the pulse racing. We couldn't be more excited.

According to Activision, we'll get to see some Destiny gameplay footage during Sony's E3 press conference next month. Until then, sit back and enjoy the trailer for what promises to be one of 2014's biggest games.

Bungie have always delivered excellent post-release support for their games and if they can build on what Trion have done right with Defiance and learn from what they have done wrong, this could indeed be something special.

I just hope Activision's bean counters don't price the inevitable season pass out most people's budget.

Interesting they have the guy who plays Neville from Revolution telling the story of the trailer there.

I'm probably alone in this sentiment, but I found that really cheesy. I'm sure it wasn't cheap to produce, but told me nothing about the game, nothing about the game play, and really did nothing to promote my interest in the game.

It would be like using in game footage from the Fast and Furious game to promote the movie. Ok, maybe that's a bad example ;)
