Far Cry 3's map editor has been updated with assets from the PSN spin-off, Blood Dragon.
You can grab the retro-futuristic 80’s content now for free over PSN. It’s called ‘Mark IV Style’ and carries the description, “The year is 2007, it is the future. Create your own homage to the VHS-era with new themes and items in this expanded map editor pack.”
Meanwhile, a listing for Far Cry HD on PS3 and Xbox 360 has turned up on the Brazilian Ratings Board, suggesting that the first game in the series is set for a polish up and re-release.
Released in 2004 for PC, Far Cry is the only game in the main, numbered series to be developed by Crysis devs Crytek. It follows former U.S. Army Special Forces operative Jack Carver, who gets stranded on a mysterious tropical archipelago and shoots lots of things.
Expect an announcement for this one sooner rather than later.
