Ubisoft is bringing Pwnee Studios' indie platformer, Cloudberry Kingdoms to the PlayStation Network for PS3 and PS Vita later this year. Boasting endless randomly generated stages, Cloudberry Kingdom's difficulty levels cater to both casual and hardcore players, as hero Bob (voiced by Hercules actor Kevin Sorbo) is brought out of retirement to save the princess and defeat Kobbler and the power of the Orb.

You can play as 10 different hero types, from jetpack Bob to fat Bob, wheelie Bob and bouncy Bob, across three different modes, Escalation, Time Crisis and Hero Rush, with a range of customisation options available for making Bob your own (that mushroom hat looks familiar). You can also save and send your favourite levels to friends.

Cloudberry Kingdom also includes a 'bungee mode', as well as local co-op and multiplayer modes for up to 4 players. It'll be heading to PSN in Q1 2013. We imagine that's pretty soon. Check out the trailer and screens below.

Thank the heavens! this is what we need more titles like this rather than the generic/trash shooters year after year. While FPS will always be around I'm hoping with Sony's push for more indies to come to PS4 we will see a surge of little gems rather than blockbuster AAA shooters. Don't know how everyone else feels but I'm tired of it
