Call of Duty: Black Ops II could be set to get a second DLC pack soon, if a recent leak is to be believed. Apparently, it's called Uprising, and will feature new multiplayer maps and content for the game's popular Zombies mode.

NoshitShurlock and MP1st dug up a line from Black Ops II website source code reading: "background: #000 url(‘/content/dam/atvi/callofduty/blackops2/cod-bo2/dlc/dlc2-uprising-bg.jpg’) center top no-repeat;" strongly hinting at the next DLC's name. Community member Vitor and YouTube user MrDalekJD found the line before going on to uncover the following promotional babble for the next add-on pack:

“Download the epic Call of Duty: Black Ops II Uprising Theme, featuring Studio, Vertigo and the Mob of the Dead, Treyarch’s most terrifying Zombies experience to date,” the leaked blurb reads.

Vertigo was a scrapped multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, whereas Mob of the Dead appears to be the next instalment in Black Ops II's Zombies saga. However, rumoured artwork leaked last month suggests that the next Black Ops II DLC could be called 'Orientation', and features four new maps, a new Zombies stage and a new weapon, just like Revolution offered.

Whatever the case, it'll turn up on PS3 a month after it launches on Xbox 360.

  • Interesting, I did like the Peacekeeper and Hydro rocks, Grind is good too, hope the next weapon is a assault rifle. I tell ya though, once the PS4 is out, whatever CoD they release next will need to get content the same time as the 720 or whatever they end up calling it, or I'm boycotting the stuff, along with all other timed exclusive titles/DLC. As a gamer I have spent an entire generation seeing these companies making extra money by holding back content from one side of the gaming population in exchange for showing favoritism to another. Next generation, it ends, or them getting my money does. Real/Digital Racism = Bad Real/Digital Favoritism = Bad
  • Zombies is what seals the deal. It makes it feel like the 15 bucks is worth it. without zombies than fuck the map pack.
  • it wont be called orientation if it has new zombies content because the black ops team can't help themselves but use words that they can stick a cheeky little z instead of an s in! I'm going for uprising... or more likely, uprizing!
  • Rather see them release patch that makes campaign mode PLAYABLE to quite a lot of people — They're probably thinking it's an isolated incident
  • i stopped buying this after MW2 because it turned more online focused, don't get me wrong i like a bit of online when it has a purpose to the game like a co-op thing, if i was to play this game it would be borrowed from a friend just to try the story
  • I only bought it for the zombies. The campaign was alright. I'd like to see them return to a WW2 game or something like it and a zombie game as a separate ip.
  • I haven't played the campaign since MW2 (even tho I own all CODs up to date) cos its all the same, and boring as hell. Just getting them for mp, and dlc's 4 zombies only. Cos they kick ass! Hope they make a shotgun dlc at some point.
  • Is CoDBO2 worth getting?
  • a treyarch dlc with 4 new maps and a new zombie map?! holy shit no way! would have never saw that coming!
  • #15 i was just about to say that, youve beaten me too it :)
  • so sick of cod.hope people wil wake up and see they are buying the same cheap crap over and over
  • More zombie DLC for a CoD: BO game?!? Really? Darn, guess they had to do it to have us fanboys temporarily forget that Metal Gear Solid V is coming out soon hahaha!
  • @14 That all depends for what you are looking for. If your looking for the Extremely new COD that everyone is begging for, this isn't that game. If your a CoD veteran and want to see what potential the CoD franchise can have, it's worth the purchase. The story is superior to the past CODs (It rivals MW1 story as well) The twists and improvements to the multiplayer are interesting, but overall it's still the same multi. The zombies are as good as always with HUGE ASS maps, which shows how good the mode is getting (Makes me wonder why the just separate the zombies as different DLC or make the mode a full game. It would sell for a lot of money) So again, it really depends for what your looking for.
