PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (PS3)
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Sequel Development Underway?

New job ads suggest Sony is already ramping up for a follow-up to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

The roles, for an art director and a game designer, point to early work on a SuperBot Entertainment developed sequel.

The successful game designer applicant must have “a near encyclopedic knowledge of modern games, with emphasis on PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.”

“Knowledge of fighting games, their systems and mechanics” is “a serious plus.”

The art director job listing is along the same lines, saying “A project such as PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which by definition brings together elements ranging from an incredibly wide range of artistic styles, requires a strong and unifying vision to present a cohesive and polished product.”

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale didn’t sell particularly well, but that clearly hasn’t discouraged Sony. Maybe they can address some of those line-up issues next time around.

Awesome to hear. Hope they do a sequel.
From the evidence provided though it doesn't seem to guarantee anything.
Still, hopefully if they do, they address whatever issues they had. Games like this seem like they could become hit and miss quite easily... Hopefully the sequel hits more people's buttons.

The characters need more balance, Me, using Nathan Drake facing off vs a Raiden and Kratos is NOT a fun time. Majority characters can do they're first super in a matter of seconds while I have to throw a propane tank and have to hit them dead on or I don't get a kill. Also what was the point of a 2nd Cole?
The game needs more costumes and the game needs more characters from the PS1 era - (crash and sypro)

There are a lot more chars they need to add. They also need to balance chars such as sackboy. I still hope they continue to make DLC chars in the meantime for the current game.

How stupid are they? They pick some of the worst characters, no-names that died years ago...

YESSSSSSSS BEST NEWS EVER :D the game is fantastic, it lacks a little substance but what's there is great. It was a shame that there was no Crash or Spyro, but then Activision was probably asking for too much money or something. Hopefully people will take more notices of this game.

@11 I agree that some feel quite cheap, however I have no trouble dispatching people with Drake, so long as you master dodging, shielding, and creating various combos then you'll do well.

This is some really great news to me. I really like the game but feel that half of the characters have no reason being there. Here's to hoping for a true All-Star worthy roster next time.

they need more characters to keep up with ssbb which i think was at 40 characters, look at icons in the past, crash spyro chris redfield, instead of trying to boost too many unknown characters reputation
