Hitman: Absolution
Hitman Concept Art Emerges For the Next Game

Already?! Yes, Square Montreal has released the first pieces of concept art for the next Hitman game following the rather superb Hitman: Absolution, with one showing 47 walking down a rain-slicked city street, presumably looking out for a target shrouded in shadow, while the second piece depicts a trenchcoated fellow diving backwards with guns blazing in a John Woo style.

Both eye-catching pieces come courtesy of Square Montreal's Art Director, Rasmus Poulsen and Senior Concept Artist Leonid Enyne, and were posted on German site Schaffi Games via NeoGAF.

As well as looking good, these images indicate that the next Hitman title is already in the pipeline, possibly in pre-production for next-generation consoles, but that's just our own speculation. Check out the concept art for what is being called Hitman 6 (for now), below.

Yay... they are starting to shit these like poop. Just when I got Absolution as my first Hitman game and I am planning to buy the collection. Will probably end up being the last Hitman I buy then.

Yeah. Because 2 pieces of concept art means it's coming out soon. I'd rather they start working on it as soon as they can. The sooner you start, the longer you have to work on it.

Every good VG company does this. Rockstar started the conceptual work on GTA V when GTA 4 was being finalized.

OT, that 2nd pic is sooooo friggin cool!

Talk about an overreaction... What do you guys think these artists do once a game's visuals are complete and the only thing left to do before release is work out the kinks on gameplay, ai, etc... Just sit there and wait for the game to be done with before they begin conceptualizing the next one?

@3 actually in the previous article that lo interactive and square enix will be taking the call of duty aproach where they will alternate between releasing a game every year giving them 2 years of development which in my opinion is too soon for a hitman game it should take time and effort. This next installment will most likely be done by 2014.

They never said that. Reread that article. All they said was they were taking the CoD approach of alternating studios, not a yearly iteration. Nowhere have they said 2014 or releasing one every year. Always check facts before posting falsehoods.
