Need for Speed: Most Wanted Single-Player Trailer Zooms In

EA and Criterion have done another one of them trailer things for Need for Speed: Most Wanted, focusing exclusively on the single-player gubbins, from Autolog 2.0 to racing around the streets of Fairhaven City evading cops and generally committing automotive crimes.

It all looks utterly glorious of course, and gives you an impression of what to expect from Need for Speed: Most Wanted's connected open world. Criterion obviously knows this shizzle inside out too, having developed Burnout Paradise.

Wrap your ocular balls around the new trailer below for a lowdown on the single-player, then put the pedal to the metal and throw your highway code out of the window for Need for Speed: Most Wanted's release on October 30th, 2012.

  • As long as there are chasebreakers and car customisation, I'm sold.
  • I want this now!
  • No body customization??
  • I WANT IT !!
  • This will suck harder than a porn star. I'm telling you, it's Burnout with the NFS name. They're using the great Most Wanted name to sell.
  • omg, I thought they had learned with hot pursuit... Why the hell would someone drive the slowest car?? Cause it fits me better? haa ok, thats funny! The new Need for Speed games will just be as cool as they were on the PS2 when producers bring back the full car customization and the progressive car speed unlocking!
  • nah... don't like the trailer... hard to image ppl will spend $50-$60 for this... I certanity will not...
  • @5 You think because Criterion is mixing in elements of Burnout into NFS it's going to suck? Let's not forget how insanely popular Burnout Paradise was and still is. Prepare to be proved wrong. I'm really itching to play this, because a lot of the basic mechanics look very similar to Hot Pursuit, but as long as they bring back something like Easy Drive from Burnout Paradise, I'll be happy for the next three-or-so years.
  • @5 I fail to see the problem. Can't wait for this... I loved BP and its honestly the only racing game I've played for more than 300 hours and still had fun with.
  • If the Vita version is as they claim (A direct ps3 port) then I'm bought.
  • This is going to be amazing :) Glad Critereon has full control of NFS now.
  • If every car is unlocked from the start most cars will never be used. Fastest car will get used Best stunt car will get used Best 'combat' car will get used Why use cars that not the best of any of these? Unlocking better cars as you play is a big part of racing games.
  • this game looks great, but it's gonna be like the original.
