Bethesda has released the fourth and final developer diary for Dishonored today, giving you the lowdown on the journey the game has taken from its early concept stages to becoming the fully-fledged game you'll be playing this October. As the game nears completion, the creative team talk about their changing roles as testers in the run up to release day.

Making "meaningful tweaks" to the game is what the dev team is working on prior to launch, while in the trailer, key figures from Arkane discuss the gameplay mechanics and the sense of freedom you can expect to experience in Dishonored. Playing as supernatural assassin, Corvo, you have a range of interesting powers at your disposal, making for a whole variety of different paths you can take.

Give the last developer diary a watch below to find out more about the 'End Game', with stealth, action, choice and conequence, as Dishonored prepares for its impending release next month. It's out on October 9th in North America and October 12th in Europe. Can't. Wait.

  • Blah Blah Blah! Screw Bethesda! Skyrim! butt-hurt! Now that we got that comment out of the way. This game looks pretty sick.
  • Okay! I watched all four developer diaries of Dishonored. These guys really created something special with a lot of creativity, passion and heart. Its really fun to hear them talk about the game. Can't wait for it. This year christmas is on October 12th in europe ;D
  • I won't buy this gam specifically because of Bethesda. They did PS3 users way wrong and I will not continue to support them.
  • @3: Sigh... Bethesda is not even making this game. It's one thing if you complain about Bethesda and Skyrim, but please don't complain about Dishonored just because Bethesda is publishing that game. Dishonored is developed by Arkane Studios. Aside from having to read stupid comments about "Oh, Bethesdas names is there, so I won't buy this game", this game is really looking good.
  • I know it's not developed by them you asshole. I am just choosing not to support them. You do know the publisher takes most of the profit right?
  • Yes, I'm fully aware of that. That's why I'm not really buying a lot of games from Activision and EA. I honestly don't have any problems with Bethesda, sure their PS3-support is not the best, but at least they are honest. Also I haven't have any major problems with Skyrim. Until I don't think they deserve my money, I will give my money to them. But that's just me.
  • You should learn some respect crsn891... If i look on your words i think your not even old enough to buy such games.
  • Lol you're right chokdee, I'm a child. The guy calls me an idiot for stating my opinion then gives one of his own and I should show respect? What kind of logic is that? Anyways... My point was that Bethesda doesn't deserve support. I don't believe they were honest, it was not until many people started experiencing problems with the game before they admitted to knowing about it. Then they can't make the DLC work for PS3 all the whole continuing to pump out DLC for Xbox. I think Dishonored looks like it will be a good game but right now I just feel scorned by their producer.
  • Maybe they took a little time into this game and actually attempted to make it playable for PS3 as well as Xbox. Unlike their other titles, where they either pump out DLC and still have a flawed game with a high chance of crashes, i.e Fallout: New Vegas or a game where they pick favoritism over the two systems and only hand out DLC to one and not the other.
  • The video quality isn't good. That game looks great. Borderlands 2 is of more importance right now though. 12.5 million people say so too.
  • Hold your horses crsn891! I wasn't even calling you an idiot. All I said was "Aside from having to read stupid comments about "Oh, Bethesdas names is there, so I won't buy this game"", and it was not meant specifically for you. I'm just tired of people throwing hate at everything (it's the internet though). Seeing comments like that makes me react the same way whenever I see people saying similiar things about BF or MW3, FYI.
  • @LokaCola, no you're right. I used idiot instead of stupid, I knew that was the word used and I even understand where you are coming from. I just feel like they out an incomplete product and have not done much to correct it. Those who played the game later after it was released did not experience these issues, which was better i suppose. Anyways, sorry for calling you an asshole.
