Bethesda has announced that patch 1.7 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will be coming tomorrow, bringing with it some not particularly huge changes. While the patch will arrive tomorrow in the US, it'll be hitting Europe next week.

Chief among the fixes for patch 1.7 is the introduction of missing bits from patch 1.6, such as mounted combat, while bug fixes rub shoulders with memory and stability optimisations.

Patch 1.7 will be coming to Skyrim on August 9th for PlayStation 3 folks in the US. That's tomorrow. Tomorrow. It'll be coming to Europe the following week.

  • why not a general release world wide? don't see why u.s players get a jump start on a patch for fig sake :(
  • Same reason we get games later on PSN. Sony's localization procedures suck balls! The same fucking reason Twisted Metal was delayed on disc, and it's patches are always later, in europe.
  • shame the dlc isn't dated. but I can wait.
  • Since the DLC they are telling to say that will exist don't have trophies then I approve everything
  • @4 Can you repeat that in english or at least in a comprehend-able manner? The dlc aka dawnguard does have trophies if that's what you meant...
  • @5 OK you understand half of what I said. Now the rest is. THIS GAME SUCKS
  • This game is great! And it is about time i get to fight from the back of my horse. Ill be said to see my 100% go since i got it a couple of days ago, need to save up for Dawnguard i gyess.
  • Still no date for Dawnguard even though PC already has it :(
  • Bethesda sucks Microsoft's weiner....
  • I'd rather have Dawnguard than fighting from horseback. Really useless for me, I never ride anywhere anyway and I'm not entirely sure where I left Shadowmere thanks to dragon attacks (enough with that already, I have 20 surplus souls...).
  • WHo cares about this crap? BAthesa screwed us ps3 users with a crap load of bugs in the game and the we have to wait for the DLC that we have to buy anyways. PS3 users should get it for free.BAthesa you owe us.
  • @11 spot on. Fed up of Bethesda messing us ps3 owners around now. i'm expecting a discount at least for dawnguard, or i ain't buying it.
  • #6 Well someone stole your sweetroll and shoved it up your ass!!
  • Do You have too pay for the patches or specially look for them Or Does the PS3 automatically Update Your files with the patch?
  • Missing bits? i can kill while on horseback
  • There's Horses?!?!
  • @15 It's like every patch, you play the game and the game asks you if you want to download the patch. Sorry if your being sarcastic there just put that in case you were actually confused. I don't think games companies are even allowed to charge for patches since it's fixing the game, something along the lines of Stationary Rights I think.
  • @1 QQ
  • What they need to do is introduce a patch that permanently removes Bethesda's lips from Bill Gates' ass.
  • This game already handles like a speed boat in a tsunami. It'll be interesting to see how bad horseback fighting will be. Hopefully better then Two Worlds II's lolz allthou....
  • Wow So Bethesda hates mages? I can swing my lil sword around and bow attack but I cannot shoot magic? Id think chasing a dragon on horseback shoving lightning bolts up its rear would be amazing. /epicfail.
  • that is good they FINALLY gave us the patch but what about the dlc??????????
  • ummmm that patch is not 1.7 i just got it and it says 1.6 what is going on?????
