The Amazing Spider-Man Trailer Reveals the Power of Web Rush

Spider-Man's agile acrobatics just wouldn't be as effective without his web-slinging abilities, which is why developer Beenox has unveiled a new swinging feature for The Amazing Spider-Man that enables the ol' webhead to perform his incredible web-spinning feats seamlessly on-the-fly. It's called 'Web Rush'.

Slowing down time, you're able to make decisions pertaining to where you swing next as you traverse your way along the New York City streets, whether you're jumping between cars or battling towering bosses. This also extends to Spidey's stealth prowess, enabling him to execute high-wire balancing acts and sneaky attacks from above.

Check out the new trailer below showing and explaining the Web Rush mechanic in The Amazing Spider-Man, which is due to launch on June 26th in North America and June 29th in Europe, ahead of the movie's release this July.

@2
Agreed. It looks sweet, but I have a strong feeling they gonna abuse this feature so you will always have to use it. Even in boss fights.

Looks awesome. I hope they can bring back the fantastic web slinging from Spiderman 2 back on PS2.

Looks good, I plat'd Edge of Time on a rental and it was pretty fun but I was annoyed that it was entirely indoors, I've never played Shattered Dimensions, which I may have to pick up! I'm looking forward to this more so than the movie.

...this looks like batman's grapple from the arkham games...

Except it doesn't slow down time to find a point and becomes kinetic once you play for a bit, if the rest of this game plays well I may consider it...

This sort of looks like they took the "spider sense" ability from other Spider-Man games, that allowed you to slow down time and renamed it "web rush".

Also, the name itself and the power it does, doesn't make much sense. What does webs have to do with slowing down ones sense of time?

Anyway, it looks nice, maybe this will be a surprise hit for a movie based game in much the same way Wolverine was.
