Pre-order cancelled.

You can't cut the online community in half, 5 weeks after release, with paid map packs.
Not in a game that is very MP heavy.

Bollocks.
I'll buy it n a sale at some point and stick with Starhawk (and it's free map packs) until something else comes out!

This is another reason why I never buy shooters at launch. I hate how developers announce there will be DLC before the game is even out. Sure they make more money this way, but they won't receive a dime from me- unless it's all included in GOTY edition

...I'm gonna be the douche today and say, "Maybe you all should find better jobs in your lives, so you spend a measly $60-70 on a game you want to play and enjoy, instead of bitching about companies, who at the end of the day, are in business to make a profit. That is what it's all about, profit. Don't argue futile points about it not being either, unless you have owned your own business..., don't want to hear it.

Matter of fact, I spent $54 dollars on a steak dinner the other day. It lasted me about 30 minutes of pure bliss and then no more. Oh wait, let me log on to a food site and complain it cost to much. Or better yet, let me complain how the should give me more for free.

Just saying, stop complaining and better your financial situation so you can get what you want!

@4 "Matter of fact, I spent $54 dollars on a steak dinner the other day."

Now imagine if, after ordering your steak, the waiter came back 5 minutes later to tell you that you could also have potatoes for another $10.

A La Carte mate, A La Carte. Doesn't change anything, grant it, I am not trying to sound judgmental but I buy what I want when I want. I can do so because I spent time earning my life position and enjoy the things i want to. Everything cost money, period. But it is a choice to spend less or more. My point is that people should stop complaining and just don't buy it. The world does need to know you don't like EA for their business practices. There are many a company I dislike for such reasons, but I am not going to peruse the net and complain. I am in business and at the end of the day, I consider ways to up profits and still provide a great service. Gaming is changing, if you don't like it, don't play.

For crying out loud, what it would be like if Trek gave me free components to my $3000 mountain bike! You know, I paid that much for it, I should get brake pads for life... :)

Yet, knuckle heads out their will pay $100 for a limited edition game that has a flipping poster... LMAO. Folks, better your life and stop complaining!

@6 "My point is that people should stop complaining and just don't buy it."

The two comments directly above yours were people saying that that was exactly what they were going to do!

And as for your mountain bike example .... if you can't tell the difference between replacements for worn out parts, and withholding core parts of a product just to make more money, you won't be in business for long.

You aint a douche.
Instead, you are a twat!

I have a very good job thanks. I earn enough to keep me in the numerous games that come out every year.
What I don't have, is the need to be anally raped by companies trying to line their pockets by removing game modes from the finished product.

I will still buy the game, but when it's cheap.
Doesn't matter how much money you have/earn, being gouged by companies you're are already giving money too just isn't acceptable.

Imagine if your $54 steak, cost extra if you wanted it cooked? Oh, you want cuterly to eat it with? Another $10 please.

Give me a fucking break, not even a moron like you can be that fucking naive

...and when was it decided that you and others, myself included, get to say that the add on content was part of the "cor parts". Oh wait, because no other gaming company is doing this. They all are, but we as a earthly people will forever be stuck in the disillusionment that the world should provide us with all things free with one purchase.

Look, bottom line is things are changing with games and all of you will still buy all the games you want, even if they have "add on" content before release. People act as if this is something new, it is not.

Anyhow, I'm done. Have a great day. I'll buy it, all of it. Support a great game series and enjoy the hell out of it because ten bucks, yeah, no biggie!

Taking it a bit personal aren't we. My apologies, as I should have specified I was speaking in a general sense about the moaning as a collective whole.

Twat?, well so that maybe, better than a crying bitch about being "butt rape" over ten bucks. Jezzzuuusss! I could complain about so many products being to expensive and companies stealing from the consumers pockets. For example, Journey. Good game, worth the price, FUCK NO! Yet everyone said it is so good, opinion I know, albeit, it was 2 hours long and that is butt raping at its finest.

I have an idea! Lets not have any DLC and include everything in the core game. See how long companies last then considering the average game runs, oh what was it, $20mil to produce.

Hate on :)

I can see fom a business standpoint youd think to get DLC out before everyones sells there game, but really this sucks i mean if it were free a lot of people would keep a hold of it but seeing as ive just paid full price for a pre-order, why would i want to keep it longer to pay extra. Plus if some of this was coded into the game it would do the game justice in having more content as im sure they could atleast code the weapons if anything yeno..

Yet COD does the same thing and I bet all of you that are complaining bought it. Except this adds more than just a few maps and doesn't cost 14.99. Or how many of you complainers paid for COD elite for $59. yeah STFU.

Non FLV format worked just fine in previous generations. Instead, we had proper expansion packs that forced devs to make something worth spending extra money on.
Yeah, you're damn right I'm bitching about $10 because how many packs at thst price are we gonna get? One is fine, three or four and it's getting expensive no matter which way you cut it.

Was journey worth full price? Probably not, that's why I ain't bought it yet. Same as I won't be buying the bf3 packs if they are the £15 I expect them to be, because three for 15 is more than a new game.

@12
Nope, I have no desire to have my money ripped from my wallet. So no elite and no cod map packs here.
Sorry
