Bioware Want to Discuss Mass Effect 3's Ending Once More People Have Completed the Game

BioWare is promising to discuss Mass Effect 3’s controversial conclusion in detail, once more people have completed the game.

Executive Producer and Director Casey Hudson has already outlined Bioware’s intention to deliberately choose a polarising ending that was open to interpretation. Now they’re saying that the studio hopes to engage in  further “healthy discussions” later down the line.

"We appreciate everyone's feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know that we are listening," wrote community coordinator Chris Priestly on Bioware’s official forum. "Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can.

He continued, “Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can't get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game.

“In the meantime, we'd like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

"We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback."

The reaction to Mass Effect 3’s ending has been vocal, to say the least. Some disgruntled fans have even signed a petition, raising over $50,000 for charity in the process. Regardless of whether you agree with their opinion, that’s a thoroughly admirable way to get your voice heard.

I personally didn't mind the choice I decided. The only real issue I had with the ending is the lack of closure on all your teammates and the rest of the galaxy. I don't understand why so many people are flipping out and making it seem like it's one of the worst endings ever for a game.

This is an excellent game regardless of everyone's opinions about the endings. I loved Mass Effect 3 from start to finish. But, I think they should change their endings. If people are willing to raise that much money for charity that is the least Bioware can do. $50,000 dollars is a lot of money, which means a lot of people donated. If that many people feel strong enough then it should be done.

This is called being a sad bastard, get fuckin over it, this whole thing is just ridiculous, a game is a game it is ended a certain way because the developers chose that way end of.
Did anyone even consider that there might be little closure because it might NOT be the final game of the series and they might make a spin off? plenty of games have done it before said that its the end and then pulled another title out of no where

I personally like the ending, the only part I think they should change is have an ending like they did with dragon age, whatever the choice is at the end of the game they gave a little description of what each of your team members do after the events of the game, at least that way it gives you some sort of closure to the events at the end of the game

Sorry if that sounded like it gave anything away, tried making that sound as spoiler free as possible

The ending was okay.. I didn't get the yay! I've done it, finally! :D Like I got from ME2.. It was more like "Is this really it.. okay, wtf!? Now what?" I did the final mission with James and Garruss. The thing I don't understand how James was there at the end alive.. o_O What happened to Garrus? The ending really dragged it needed more depth. I also felt cheated that I didn't see what happened to my friends that i've spent so much time with.. :'(

@8 amen to that, my thumbs down on my previous comments are probably people who signed the petition LOL

It is bollocks though, if we can make a big fuss about shit like this then Im making a petition against Nintendo with Mario3 cos Im not happy with the way Koopa dies by falling in the floor and theres no closure with what happened to Mario and Princess Peach at the end...

How many people have to "finish the game" before they try to defend themselves? When their sales numbers hit XX amount? When earned "Mission Accomplished" trophy and achievement numbers his XX amount? When their next game release bombs because we have stopped trusting Bioware to satisfy our need for decent endings? After we've moved on to different games and have possibly forgotten about how unhappy a lot of us are right now?

I'll I gotta say is that those guys at Bioware are geniuses. Really. The Internet completely exploded with Mass effect 3. Everybody talks about it, even people who I think never played a single game of the series.

Keeping this ending thing alive instead of trying to clarify it is an effective way to keep the game on the sight of every gamer.

As famous quote says: it doesn't matter if it is good or bad, just keep them talking.

"Yes, please tell us what you guys would like us to do. We'll listen to all your ideas, then we'll wrap it up nicely as a DLC for $9.99. Because we at BioWare care about you."

You saw how the creator of The Sopranos went back and changed his ending cause about 30 million people (about 28 million more than care about ME3!)were upset with him for fading to black, oh wait thats right, he told evevry body to F&&& off, and went to his next project.
You want to be a writer and developer, go ahead but STFU already about the ending, were all doing what they want us to do - sitting around the water cooler and debating whether Tony got whacked or not...

So... How does it end? I never played any of the Mass Effect games, nor do I intend to, but all the talk got me curious!

Many apologies for the double post, but I just took a look at what the ending was, and all I can say is AAAHHAAA HA HA HA HAAAAAA!!!! Takes some balls for Bioware to be like, " Here's your craptacular ending, now go buy some DLC!" I cannot blame any of the fans for being pissed at all, because they straight got screwed! What a bunch of B.S.!!!!
