BioShock Infinite Heavy Hitters Part 2: Hail to the Handyman

Normally, the tools of a handyman are his hammer, a saw, maybe a drill... But in BioShock Infinite, the Handyman is so-called because of his giant grasping mitts, and his tools are whatever he can pick up and throw at you, be it an object or an AI friend or foe.

Described in this new trailer as "a tragic figure" by Creative Director, Ken Levine, the Handyman is a mechanical part-man/part-machine abomination, with its heart pumping away in a little portal set into the centre of its chest. How they came to be is something you'll find out during your journey through Columbia as Booker DeWitt, while protecting Elizabeth from the Songbird.

To find out a little bit more about the hulking and surprisingly agile Handyman, check out the new BioShock Infinite Heavy Hitters trailer below, and the new Handyman screenshot. BioShock Infinite is out on October 16th in North America and October 19th in Europe.

That is one big daddy, but quite handy! Waiting for 10/16/12 seems impossible, but that is what I chose.

@2 I saw what you did there with the I Chose the Impossible mixed into your comment

This game looks incredible I would like it sooner but I think that it could well be timed October to do combat in the sales figures department with the other 'heavy hitters'

DeWitt on the 16th, Connor on the 30th, and Leon/Chris the following 20th.

It's gonna be hard to study for finals this winter. :(

Anyone else notice that the Handyman seems to be recycling the charging animation from the Brute Splicer from BioShock 2? It's the very last thing they show in the video. It's that gorilla stance charge followed by the shoulder ram (The Brute finishes up with a kind of swatting motion, but we don't really get to see if the Handyman does it).
