No conquest, No buy DICE.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 08:59 AM
I can see it now.... ______ killed by ______ with a USAS with frag rounds. That's the only thing close quarter combat promises.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 09:13 AM
Battlefield does CoD better than CoD... will be looking forward to thisTuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 09:16 AM

I agree with you @3 but its nice to see new maps, just hope the shotguns gets nerfed even more, or there would be shotgun rounds across the maps..Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 09:23 AM
This looks pretty great. I can't wait for this. :)Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 09:26 AM
@3 as much as the shotgun pisses me off it hasnt changed my opinion that this game is awesome and I cant wait to try out these new maps, plus I love the 1 week earlier on PS3 XDTuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 09:56 AM
Shotguns and flashlights.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 10:00 AM
@6 and 9 Don't get me wrong, I love this game and every thing about the new maps. I just tend to get frustrated not being able to do anything with the shotgunners running around abusing the frag rounds. Hopefully by June the nerf patch will be up.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 10:09 AM
I agree with all of you, just make sure you don't shoot holes in my designer apartment with my designer couches with your designer weapons.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 10:32 AM
Hi, i was once a close quater fragget with a flashlight noob, uintil I blew my friggin knee cap off. No need to get into knife distance to fire ;)Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 10:36 AM
Sadly this is going to be a USAS Fest unless they patch itTuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 10:55 AM
Even if they don't nerf the Frag Rounds or USAS, remember your claymores and identify chokepoints. Flashlights make noobs overconfident, and that is a downfall. Nothing seems to irritate shotgun abusers more than death-by-claymore and death-by-knife.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 11:13 AM
@12 make a relevant comment related to the topic or gtfo. Sound familiar hypocrite?Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 11:18 AM
Makes this garbage looks SO much better than it actually is/ going to be.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 12:01 PM
Shut up and take my money DiceTuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 12:04 PM
holy shit now thats close quarter combat just put a big smile on my faceTuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 12:41 PM
I love the knife!!!!Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 12:53 PM
All I ever hear about BF3 is it's awesome and it needs a patch, nerf this nerf that... I imagine this will run either $9.99 or $14.99 since EA has been trying to keep up with Activision the best they can lately.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 02:23 PM
trophies?Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 02:54 PM
The confirmation that there's Conquest, Rush, and a new mystery game mode was more than enough to seal the deal on this DLC. Well that, and the SPAS-12. I love the SPAS-12Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 03:06 PM
Still not sure about this one. If I wanted close-quarters nonsense, I'd pop in my copy of MW3. I play BF3 for the larger-scale gameplay and teamwork. Guess I'll wait for more solid info on map sizes and other goodies. No need to blindly buy DLC simply because it's BF3.Tuesday, March 13, 2012 @ 07:12 PM
Ill get for free, but done care for it unless it has trophiesWednesday, March 14, 2012 @ 01:45 AM
yeah whats the standing on trophies? i could care less if its missing out on them. BF3 was cool but not good enough to play after plat.

EA and DICE are once again showcasing the art of destruction in Battlefield 3, with this new trailer and screenshots taken from the forthcoming 'Close Quarters' DLC, which will see infantry-only matches coming to BF3 with an emphasis on blasting holes into the drywall, plaster and furniture of its tight designer apartment block, posh office spaces and other maps. That'll teach them rich folk to have nice things.
There's also be an emphasis on the new maps' verticality as well as blowing up shizzle with a big gun, and Close Quarters will also provide new weapons to add to your arsenal, new assignments and shiny unique dog tags. It's the four maps that'll be the crux of the Close Quarters DLC though, with the usual Frostbite 2 demolition you'd expect.
Battlefield 3: Close Quarters will be hitting the PlayStation Store in June 2012 a week earlier than other platforms, but has yet to be priced or given a specific date. It'll be followed up by two more DLC packs - 'Armored Kill' and 'End Game' - in autumn and winter respectively. Go close quarters with the new screens and trailer below.
