SEGA Has No Plans for Further Sonic 4 Episodes

Looking forward to a long line of Sonic 4 episodes? You may be out of luck. Beyond the upcoming Sonic 4: Episode 2, Sega has no plans to continue the series.

Producer Takashi Iizuka told Digital Spy, "We are looking forward to hearing the feedback from the users for Episode 2, but we are currently not planning to release another episode.” He added, "We just want to see how the users accept this episode."

In addition, Iizuka has also said that Episode 1’s wonky physics will be improved in Ep 2. In the original game, Sonic’s momentum running up and rolling down inclines felt a little off. This time around the physics will be based on the classic Megadrive/Genesis games.

"I wanted to make sure people could play the game and it not feel unnatural," Iizuka told Eurogamer. "It should feel right. Rather than thinking of it as us trying to say, 'okay, this is the way it should be,' we looked at feedback where people were saying, 'this feels unnatural.'

"Those were the things we decided to eliminate, so it should feel natural when they play the game."

Sonic 4 Episode 2 spins into action later this year, bringing co-op gameplay and sidekick Tails with it.

Still looking forward to this, but I really wanted at lest 4 episodes out of it. Well Sega how about giving us a port of Knuckles' Chaotix for some dame fan service?

Give me Skies Of Arcadia in full on PSN start releasing games that matter and are nostalgic from the Dream Cast era. SEGA you've milked Sonic, Crazy Taxi for years it's about time you looked at other excellent games like Power Stone, Skies Of Arcadia, Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 with online mode through the PSN.

There's seriously some classics on the DC that need to be released and SEGA should make a deal with Sony to get the licensing sorted and on the store SOON!!!

Episode 1 was trash but if this game lives up to its expectation they really should make episode 3 or just make a full sonic 4 . I thought it was stupid when they released it by episodes
