Darksiders II
Darksiders II Limited Edition Upgrade is Free With a Pre-Order

THQ has today revealed that a pre-order of Darksiders II will earn you a free upgrade to the Limited Edition version of the game, which comes with a unique download code for the first single-player add-on. This is in addition to the previously announced retailer-specific pre-order incentives.

'Argul's Tomb' will be available sometime post-launch, and will add more to the single-player story, which sees Death called into action to clear the name of his fellow horseman, War, after he's blamed for inadvertently setting the apocalypse in motion. Oops.

Check out the new screenshots to go with today's announcement, then prepare to take up Death's scythe when Darksiders II launches on June 26th in North America and June 29th in Europe.

First one has been sitting on my shelf for ages, never got around to it. May have to move it up my 'to do list'

On a side note, have any of these "limited edition" versions ever been replaced by standard versions? I'm not talking the collectors editions which are usually a limited run, but most of these that are supposed only limited editions with pre-order, seem to be the standard copy on the shelf months later.

Just curious?

Ive seen a bunch of Limited Editions around mounths after, it seems to be the most common edition to be honest XD but the idea is to get the standard out, and it will.

NFS is good about restocking with non LE copies after launch but other than that everybody else seems to make them standard

Really looking forwards to this game day one buy for me, I don't understand people they complain about pre-release DLC & then they complain if they don't release DLC a few week's after the game's is out it's a catch 22.

Sounds kinda like the online pass that was in Arkham City to me, I hope not. But its kinda hard to say since Limited Edition upgrades have pretty much been code for has online pass.

Why do they never release the game in full on the disc and have to rely on downloading the missing stuff.
