mine still says playstation network? did the u.s. not change it yet? but i actually enjoy the browser(works much better, doesnt freeze) and the clock(mine would get behind if i didnt update it so updating automatically is nice) features.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:10 AM
I use the browser quite a lot actually, so that's good news. Bring on SEN.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:13 AM

I use the PS3 web browser for everything looking on PS3 Trophies watching anime Facebook everything it's better and quicker than loading the laptop up n it's even betterWednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:39 AM
im still calling it psnWednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:40 AM
A new browser? Given the old one was seemingly based on the 1995 version of Netscape Navigator, it can't be any worse.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:49 AM
It would be good if they have apps that you can go on Facebook, twitter, MySpace and so on... Xbox 360 have apps for Facebook and twitter... (I'm not a 360 owner btw)Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:01 AM
yea i dont have to disable javascript everytime i search in google, and i can watch Jtv or twitch and my youtube vid buffer faster so WOOP!Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:08 AM
my XMB still says Playstation Network. It hasn't changed to Sony Entertainment Network, but the browser is much better now!Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:21 AM
@9: Same here, why advertise a name change then not do it? It's nice they've updated the browser a little bit but couldn't they have updated Flash as well?Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:25 AM
@3: The clock pace is to quick, after a few weeks it would be 2 or 3 minutes ahead of the real time. That's why the Auto-update, so it works like any PC clock (or any other device that's connected to the internet).Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:28 AM
@7 - The Twitter and FB apps are worthless. Can't do anything with them really. And MySpace? What year is this again?Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:34 AM
It doesn't kill PSN, PSN stays. Only the PSN-account id will now be called SEN-account id. Yes, it's confusing.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 08:55 AM
So im not the only 1 with clock problems my was always running 10mins ahead! (read carefully thats clock not...well yeno)Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 09:08 AM
Yeah I alway have problems with the clock ending up 10mins fast or so tooWednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 09:25 AM
They have made the fuckin browser worse i cant post comments on the threads!! it says *the message u have entered is 2 short*Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 09:32 AM
Mine is still the PSN not the SEN, I think the PSN sounds better than the SEN oh well. Glad they've sorted out the Clock, I use my Laptop to go online but nice for others they've fixed it.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 09:37 AM
About time they updated the browser! Lets hope a dont have to use my laptop anymore to watch footie thats not live on SKY!Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 10:03 AM
So with the improved browser can I now watch the Hulu programming that the Hulu app can't stream? Because that's all I really want out of it.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 10:23 AM
PSN is still PSN, but now it is part of SEN (along with Music and Video Unlimited)... the only difference is everyone's PSN accounts are now SEN accounts used to sign in to any SEN service (inc. PSN) ...very confusing :/Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 10:24 AM
@19 You can use Playon for like $20 a year... That is if the browser doesn't work for Hulu yet. Playon streams to any of the systems, but in my opinion works best on PS3.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 10:53 AM
*facedesk* Are you fucking kidding me? Did you update your PS3 and look at it after said update? It is still called Playstation Network! It was always going to be called Playstation Network. They only said they were changing the name of the ACCOUNT and that's what they did! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v611/mjc0961/IMG_1111.jpg See, you sign up for an SEN account that you use to access Playstation Network and other SEN services. My god, this is not hard to understand!Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 10:55 AM
@13 & 20: No it is not confusing. All one had to do was read the e-mail Sony set out about the change. They clearly explained everything and anyone with basic reading comprehension skills could figure it out. I feel like the only person on the internet with a working brain right now.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 11:29 AM
How did people think it would be called SEN instead of PSN. It clearly said your account would be changed. They couldn't call the PSN, music unlimited and whatever else the Sont Entertainment Network, it would make no sense. You'll still be playing on the PSN, just with your SEN account.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 12:52 PM
Something ive noticed that no one else has, they also fixed the sony headset problem, u can now hear urself talk, which to me was there biggest con, watch out turtle beach.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 01:07 PM
@ 23, I don't think its confusing as I clearly explained that it was just the account name that changed :P When I said "very confusing" I meant it with sarcasm (perhaps I should have said so)Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 01:13 PM
Clearly it is confusing to some people, with news topics like this spinning around.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 01:28 PM
watch out for terms of service... 4.10.3 says you cant make fun of SCEA employees... soo watch out mocking Sony!! mock mock mock.. Also I tried the browser an it seems worse cant even load simple youtube video anymore, and it crashed twice last night after the updare.. errr...I was hoping of better video quality at least.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 01:43 PM
worthless changes have been made. I see no need for all these changes.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 02:07 PM
@27 Your perfectly right. Just look at the title of this article "Update 4.10 Kills Off PlayStation Network". Well it clearly hasn't seeing as I have the update and my XMB still says Playstation Network, I just have a SEN acoount. I can't see why there is such a fussWednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 02:08 PM
Thank god they actually updated the browser so it doesn't suffer memory leaks and freeze the Playsation, every 5 minutes! Well done Sony. :)Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 03:17 PM
so they change PSN to SEN, I would like to change my PSN name to something for SEN.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 03:57 PM
Dropbox is now supported on the PS3's browser ;)Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 06:15 PM
I don't know if it's just me but these changes seem a little pointless really, I don't use the browser on the PS3, the clock is already correct and the change of the PSN name? Has no impact on us at all.Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:02 PM
How do you use "Dropbox"? Dont see it on the XBM... also I like PSN rather then SEN, and they must have updated more cus it really took a while to download, and I also already impersonated the Playstation Spokesman in my living room in front of my freinds so I suspect I will be getting a call or my account halted since you cant make fun of any SCEA employee via TofService 4.10.3.. :(Wednesday, February 08, 2012 @ 07:25 PM
That explains why my damn clock was an hour off.Thursday, February 09, 2012 @ 07:30 AM
It seems pointless updating the browser if they not gonna update flashThursday, February 09, 2012 @ 08:03 PM
unadvertised update feature allows posting of SONY store ratings to facebookThursday, February 09, 2012 @ 09:40 PM
I can't wait for the next update.

The PlayStation Network’s days are numbered. Later today, if you haven’t already got it, a new system software update will rename the service, Sony Entertainment Network.
The update, dubbed Version 4.10, will also enhance browser functionality (does anyone actually use that?) and improve the clock (woop!). Amazing, I think you’ll agree.
Full details are below, courtesy of the EU PS Blog:
In order to download PS3 system software version 4.10, you will need a minimum 180MB of free space on either the PS3 Hard Disk Drive (System Update) or on removable storage media (PC Update).
