Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Playable at E3 2012

Not only will Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance be at E3 this year, it'll also be playable, according to Hideo Kojima.

Speaking in a round-table interview with Platinum CEO Tatsuya Minami and the game's producer Atsushi Inaba, The Metal Gear creator also told Famitsu that their collaboration only "started getting serious" at the Vita announcement press conference last January.

Platinum Games took over the project from Kojima, after the Metal Gear creator couldn't quite get to grips with his vision of the game. Many of the series' fans were upset with the move as they don't see it as a true Metal Gear game. Minami said that the stealth mechanic was removed as it "didn't fit with the new nature of the game."

E3 2012 will mark the first time that the game has been playable outside of the studio.

@7 Allegedly, Kojima kind of mentioned a spoiler on that during the big blow up about Revengeance getting moved to platinum games. He said that he was not directly involved with development of Revengeance because he was working on Project Ogre and a Metal Gear 5 revolving around the Boss during WW2 with the Cobra Unit.
