When I was a boy the sales came after Christmas. Not any more. We've got discounts and deals coming out of our ears this year, across multiple formats and consoles. It's good time to be a gaming bargain hunter.

Thankfully, the PlayStation Store is no exception. Tomorrow, a huge batch of discounts goes live across the British, Irish, Australian, Arab Emirates and New Zealand PSN Stores*, bringing savings of up to 73%. Not to be sniffed at.

Running until Jan 11th 2012, the PSN Festive Sale is offering deals on over 100 games, PSN titles, add-ons, PSOne classics and Minis. The full list is far too long to reproduce here, but the PS Blog has handily highlighted a few for us. You can catch them below.

PS3 Games

  • Premier Manager 2012 – Save up to 66%
  • Playstation Move Heroes – Save up to 60%
  • Rayman Origins – Save up to 33%
  • Midnight Club LA Complete – Save up to 28%
  • Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken – Save up to 30%

  • Zombie Apocalypse – Never Die Alone – Save up to 50%
  • Castlevania: Harmony of Despair – Save up to 47%
  • L.A. Noire Complete Edition – Save up to 10%

PSP Games

  • Metal Slug XX – save up to 73%
  • Worms Battle Islands – save up to 65%
  • Blazeblue Calamity Trigger Portable – save up to 57%

*The announcement for these deals came on the EU PlayStation Blog, so it's safe to assume that they are rolling out across Europe. However, the territories listed above were the only ones explicitly stated. These deals have not currently been announced for North America.

  • So, is there a complete list somewhere? I don't mind lloking through '100s' of titles for a good deal or two. :)
  • think these are just the highlights... have to wait until tomorrow until they list all the games -_-
  • Click the link to see the entire list guys.
  • @5 The added minis part surely isn't the rest of the list.
  • i have a feeling most of them are minis lol
  • NOT usa...
  • Not from USA store :(
  • Ok, this article needs to be cleared up a bit. Is this ONLY for Arab Emirates, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia?? Are you sure AE doesnt stand for Across Europe or something? I'd not be happy if they left out the rest of europe!
  • i asked on the blog if the 50 minis are part of the 100 games like 50 minis n 50 games/dlc and they said no the 50 minis count as 1 of the 100 so their should be some good bargins hopefully
  • Not from USA store :(
  • @11 yea :( thats not fair they cant fill half the list with mini's! theres like 2 or 3 good mini's thats it :(
  • US store has already got a massive sale on discounted games which the EU one hasn't.
  • WOW! What a crapfest.... thumbsdown!

  • SONY! Y U NO UPDATE AUS PSN?????
  • just in time :) got 2 psn cards kept for this
  • The minis sale is where you pay £3.19 and you get to pick 5 minis. I sure will be interested in seeing what other deals are offered, might be able to pick up a few games I have been meaning too
  • Anyone think when they update weekly avatars and themes should be separate because I swear they use space for better downloads in my opinion they do. I'll have to check it out tomm
  • I wonder how nobody has compared these sales to Steam's yet.
  • LOL, up to 10% off LA Noire; somebody's looking for some face time...
  • These aren't the best games for sale in my opinion. They should put more AAA titles on sale than I would be more than happy to buy them from network rather than a retailer. Anyone else feel this way?
  • pile o shit imo
  • I'm coming buy Alien breed 3 I have 1 & 2 already and I bought 0.01€ more per 1 & 2 on halloween sale lol XD
