Final Fantasy XIII-2 Gets Exclusive Amazon UK and GameStop US Pre-Order Weapons

The pre-order incentives keep on coming for Final Fantasy XIII-2, with these latest weapons being available in addition to the already unveiled pre-order incentives. These are the alternate Serah costume at GameStop, the hardcover novella at Best Buy and the Omega Boss battle at Amazon, which are now joined by a pair of swords available at GameStop and Amazon UK.

First up is the transforming Genji bow for Serah, revealed on Game Informer and available with a pre-order at GameStop, a weapon that is able to change forms between sword and bow, handling up-close melee attacks and ranged projectiles in one. However, it's only available to members of the GameStop PowerUp Rewards Loyalty programme. If you're a member and you've already pre-ordered it'll be retroactively added to your order.

Amazon UK meanwhile, is offering the Muramusa blade for Noel, which is a feared weapon that wil strike down time's master, apparently. It too looks like it has a couple of different forms it can take, with some sort of nasty mace staff style or sword style, with multiple edges. Tasty.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is out on December 15th, 2011 in Japan, January 31st, 2012 in North America and February 3rd, 2012 in Europe.

I love pre-order bonuses, but hate store-specific ones. Customers who pre-order are often the most loyal of your fanbase. Why punish us? Why make us choose between all these items?

@2 You mean a week after release.

But in this day and age, I love how DLC is announced long before the game is even released. Its like saying "Yeah this game isnt finished at all but we will still charge you full price for it anyway and just to annoy you further, we will out up DLC the same day as the games release!"

Guess I will preorder at gamestop then. I know it will come on PSN eventually, but who cares, a freebie is a freebie.

I love preorder stuff, but no when it's stuff that'll come out sooner or later. Give me a collectable anyday. A figurine or soundtracks. Anything BUT what I can eventually got through DLC

I hate in-game bonuses "offered" with collector's and preorder editions. Not even tempted on this one.

Give me a thumbs up if you already had the game Pre-Ordered before reading this. :)

I already pre-ordered FFXIII-2--slightly disappointed I can't have the Serah skin since I pre-ordered from Amazon, but whatever. I'll get over it, I'm sure, and it'll almost certainly come out with a DLC version of the skin if I REALLY want it.

Also, Serah seems like kind of a whiny wuss at the point I'm at in FFXIII. Lightning is far superior. ;)

blazenarutoshippuden, this isn't YouTube. You cannot get the top or 'first' comment by getting people to thumb you up.

seems like I did not make a mistake of preordering at gamestop/EB.

To be honest, I wanted to get the Best Buy pre-order before seeing this, for they actually have a bonus that I can actually touch. But they take so long to put a game in pre order. Amazon's bonus was cool, but I didn't want to spend more money and wait for a week to get a game (payed $20+ more to get my MGS HD Limited Edition to arrive early, but it took a week)

yawn, instead of flapping off pointless dlc they should put a bit more time and effort into their games that USED to be the best ever made
