Sony Online Entertainment has announced that hotly-anticipated PSN co-op shooter Payday: The Heist is coming next week, bringing hours of complex, dangerous heists as you continually pursue the biggest score possible. It's a bit like Heat or Point Break... The heist bits that is.

To celebrate the impending launch of Payday: The Heist - which is free to people who bought all four PSN PLAY titles - Overkill and SOE have released a new trailer showing the Slaughterhouse heist, one of the most taxing jobs to pull off and thus one of the most satisfying scores.

Check out the trailer below, then look out for Payday: The Heist on the PlayStation Store from October 18th in North America. Presumably, this means that the game will be available from the EU PSN on October 19th, although this has yet to be verified.

@#2 Same. I've Pre-Ordered. I should imagine Trophies will be unveiled next week. I'm hoping that there's a full set, but since there's only six heists, I'm doubting it'll have a Platinum.

@2 & @3
Seeing how this game has 34 achievements on PC it could very likely have a Plat.

My brother is gonna love this. He's been looking for a cheap shooter to cut from the COD's. :D

I was listening to podcast beyond (ign) and they said the games ready to go just that Sony said delay it due to all the other stuff that's come out on on the psn.

This trailer looks awesome. This is a must for me and reminds me of Michael Manns heat. Been waiting for a different take on an fps also seems like a counter strike type game which is also coming to psn next year which is sweet. I think £12.99 is a fair price and a free theme to boot. Hopefully Sony can keep bringing us titles like this.
