Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Shifts Into 'Winter' Release Window

As Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is still waiting on a solid release date, Capcom has shifted the game's release window from 'late 2011' into the slightly less specific 'winter' slot, which puts the latest instalment of Resident Evil anywhere between December of this year to March next year.

Capcom has told Kotaku that Resident Evil: Raccoon City is "definitely locked in for winter," when asked about the release date, which suggests that the game has been delayed into later in the year or it could quite possibly see launch early next year.

So, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City could arrive anytime between December 22nd and March 19th, which Kotaku notes is technically what one would consider the winter period. With that in mind, an early 2012 release seems likely.

I was pretty pumped for this game initially, but no splitscreen co-op killed it for me. I thought that they were gonna keep that from RE5. Oh, well. Hopefully RE6 has it. Or it better go back to it's original gameplay. RE5 was such a disppointment - other than it was a good action game and it had splitscreen co-op.

The more I learn about this game, the less I like it so I'll skip it.

A resident evil where you can kill Leon?.. No thx Capcom need to put things back at what they were.. Survival horror that is.. They did remake for almost all good old resident evil name.. except the 2nd and 3rd and code veronica.

Get back to basic capcom otherwise screw you!

5@LOL! Same situation here,so don't worry your not alone.

I don't get why many people are upset because it is not like it was when it started. When RE4 came,I thought that it was a good way to change the way to play Re.Really don't understand why people want the classic fell back.

Anyway back on topic,at first I did not like the idea of Leon getting killed(Which I personally think it sucks balls killing the main protagonist and letting the bad guys win in the RE universe)but it does fell like a fresh start, especially now that you can have 4 people instead of 2 like RE 5.Gonna rent this or borrow it to enjoy it! But I still think they should concentrate more on the main series than go with things like umbrella:the dark chronicles(Even though the game is good). So as much as Leon is one of my favorite characters,I will play this game,I will get the cutscene to kill him,and I will only shed one tear before pulling the trigger for being a fan.

I'm wanting to play this, soley for the reason to be able to kill survivors instead of having to save them for once in a zombie-related game >.>

They should remake 2 and 3. The camera sucks so bad on those games.
