Starbreeze Studios has announced that it's working on a new IP with award winning Swedish director and scriptwriter, Josef Fares, together with Story Lab, based upon a concept developed and pitched to Starbreeze by Fares.
"I love games, and I have been working on a games concept for quite some time. The more I worked with the concept, the more convinced I felt that this is a solid game idea" said Fares. "Together with Story Lab we created a prototype that we presented to Starbreeze, and they instantly liked the concept."
Once Fares pitched the idea to Starbreeze, the studio - who is also currently working on Syndicate for EA - jumped right on board with his concept. "Just minutes into Josef's presentation we knew that this was a game that we wanted to develop, and we started to work on the concept the very same day" said Starbreeze CEO, Mikael Nermark.
Josef Fares is something of a household name in Sweden, where he's had box office success with movies like Jalla! Jalla! (2000), Kopps (2003), Zozo (2005) and Farsan (2010). No further details are currently available on Fares and Starbreeze's project for the time being, but word of a new IP is always good news.
