Are you still playing Homefront's online multiplayer? Then perhaps you'll be interested to learn that the Homefront 'The Rock' DLC is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network soon, adding two new maps based right slapbang in the middle of San Francisco.

Featuring new maps 'Alcatraz' and 'Bridge', The Rock map pack for Homefront also adds Team Deathmatch to the Overpass and Waterway multiplayer maps for $4.99. Here's the obligatory descriptions of the new maps on offer:

  • Alcatraz – America’s most infamous prison becomes the site of fierce close-quarters fighting.
  • Bridge – A combined arms effort to secure the North tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounding area.

You'll be able to snap up the Homefront 'The Rock' Map Pack DLC when it comes to PSN in the near future. Check out the new trailer and screens for the DLC below.

Get ready for inevitable Homefront bashing. This was a great game, got a bit bored after the plat though, really want some SP DLC with trophies.

This map looks quite interesting to be honest, most maps to me felt more like open ground battles and this one gives me the impression of a CQB map. I might get it but I hear not many people are playing this game anymore.

Heeeey, it`s COD! No, wait, Battlefield! No, hold it, Medal of Honour! No, no, no, no, it`s Homefront!

Dammit, video game industry! Stop making generic-looking and -feeling games! This isn`t directed at just Homefront, but at every company that`s pumped out a generic military shooter in the past few years.

@7 That prison has been called The Rock for a long time, cause thats all it is, a piece of rock with a prison on it.

@6 I want to hear what your grand vision of a military shooter is, what would you do thats so epic and entertaining that us lesser beings would forget about Call of Duty, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, Homefront and other shooters and play only your game and make you millions of dollars?
