Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 Interview - Jamie Keen Talks Jungle Warfare and Much More
Written Wednesday, July 27, 2011 By Richard Walker

Far Cry isn't your common or garden FPS franchise, and nor therefore is Far Cry 3, which has you visiting an exotic jungle paradise, where you're constanty pursued and hounded by unscrupulous mercenaries, while your sanity gradually ebbs away over the course of the game's narrative.

With Far Cry 2 proving a divisive beast upon its release, Far Cry 3 has a weight of expectation to live up to and a great deal of issues to rectify. The Far Cry 3 dev team has been keeping its eye on the forums though, and will be looking to address the feedback and complaints that plagued the previous game.

How do we know this? Because Far Cry 3's Lead Game Designer Jamie Keen told us so at Ubisoft's Summer Showcase in London. We caught up with Keen to find out what to expect from Far Cry 3, its lush environment and a lot more besides.

Far Cry 3 is out in 2012.

@4 It may look cool now but whats it like when you get it people said the same thing about FC2 and look at the complaints that got, I managed to finish FC2 but hated every moment of it it was a drag to play.

Day 1 for me as well, loved FC2 even though it had quite severe issues.

I loved FC2, despite a few annoyances (mainly just that stealth was mostly unhelpful and the re-occurring checkpoints). I didn't play it until about a year after it came out, though, by which time there were patches to fix some of the glitches and it ran quite well for me.

Can't wait for FC3!
