Shift 2: Unleashed hits the circuit next week, so as is tradition these days, EA has released the launch trailer today, showing off a few of the accolades garnered for the game so far, including big words like 'visceral'. Shift 2 is all about realism, so we're hardly surprised to learn that it's visceral, but there you go.

In the video, you can see some of the four-wheeled metal lumps speeding around a track, taking corners with precision and even doing a bit of rubbing with its racing. That's a surefire way to wreck your paint job right there.

Check out the trailer - complete with shameless plug for a Rise Against album - and get your best driving gloves ready for Shift 2: Unleashed on March 29th in North America and April 1st in Europe.

  • that looks very good and i like these type of racers, not too fast to get up to the top but not a huge drag and confusing
  • Shift was okay, but i didn't like it when the cars, no matter how little you turned, started to drift. Well, when i say drift i mean the skidmarks. Hopefully this is better.
  • Looks good
  • Looking good. I wish they'd just clarify whether the "exclusive content" is for pre-ordering, or just the limited edition. Based on Hot Pursuit I'm guessing it's the latter. Also, one of the big problems with Shift's multiplayer where ass-holes deliberatly ramming people at launch and ruining the chances of winning the race for anyone except the guy who started in pole or 2nd. I hope they found a way to fix that, or the multiplayer is useless. So, I'm a bit worried that they're showcasing "rubbing".
  • Can't wait for this game to arrive. I try not to believe any pre-release hype stuff, but just going from the track list alone, this is going to be great fun.
  • DO WANT. Hot Pursuit was shite. THIS is what racing games should be like. Arcade like Burnout is awesome, but do one or the other, not a vomited mix up of the two styles.
  • cool looks alot better than the god awful shift 1
  • hot pursuit was a great game but shift was the best need for speed game since undercover 2 n this one looks even better, a must have
  • Looks good, too bad I got a new game already this month; damn TDU2, piece of crap... I'll probably get this anyways though.
  • I enjoyed the first Shift game. But this looks like it is going to be a huge improvement. Roll on April 1st :)
