Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is set to get a massive fuel injection with three new doses of DLC that will untame Lamborghinis, unleash Porsches and offer an eight-player open world mode packed with new events to engage in all over Seacrest County. The packs will start to land from February 22nd with the subsequent two packs releasing over the next two consecutive weeks.

'Armed and Dangerous' will be the first pack to speed in on February 22nd, adding two brand spanking new game modes, expanding the game's online aspects. 'Most Wanted' is one such mode, where the cops are out to bust one racer while fellow racers strive to protect the target in an open world. The other mode is 'Arms Race', which is a frantic, no-holds-barred race to the finish line with a full arsenal of weapons primed and ready to blast your rivals off the road. 'Armed and Dangerous' will have three new trophies and will cost $7.

'Lamborghini Untamed' will be the second DLC pack introducing three new Lambos - namely the Diablo SV, Countach LP5000 QV and Sesto Elemento - in both standard and cop flavours, with 10 new events and four new trophies. It will be available from 1st March for $7.

And finally, 'Porsche Unleashed' will bring three new Porsches to NFS: Hot Pursuit's enviable garage of supercars, with the Porsche 911 Turbo (1982 Edition), Porsche 959 and 911 Speedster. The DLC will also add a further 10 events and four trophies for $7 on March 8th.

Good old Criterion. We haven't been spoiled with DLC for a racing game this much since the developer went crazy with free content in Burnout Paradise. Keep an eye out for the Hot Pursuit DLC from February 22nd onwards and check out the new content announcement trailer here.

  • Well it may not be free, but it doesn't sound like awesome content at a more than reasonable price. I will almost certainly buy it all.
  • I'll wait until the Ultimate Edition comes out with all the DLCs then I'll buy to save $$$!
  • THIS IS THE BEST NEWS EVER!!! GREATEST RACING GAME EVERRRRRRRRR SO EXCITED!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH GONNA GET IT FIRST DAY! hmmmmm but $21 is kinda sucky BUT OH WELLLLLLL
  • Really? That's pretty expensive for so little extra stuff!! Let's do some math... The game originally had: 108 different events 10 types of events 50 trophies (not counting platinum, since it is just a add-up of all others) 72 cars for around 60$ Assuming we can add all things together... we have 240 for $60... that's 4 things per dollar Now: -Armed and Dangerous: 2 types of events 3 trophies = 5/$7 = 0.71 things per dollar -Lamborghini Untamed/Porsche Unleashed: 3 cars 10 events 4 trophies = 17/$7 = 2.43 things per dollar mmm... does it really make sense to charge that much? I think around $4 would be OK
  • @4 i dont know what you just said, but it makes alot od sence! it does sucks that there 2 dlcs not one big 1 >_> probily still gonna buy!
  • wtf $21 dollars for the three dlc's... that's a huge rip... everyone knows damn well this should be one dlc at $7... will not support this at all... (bought the game from amazon for $40 near the release date and bought the first dlc the day it came out)
  • why can't more developers be like rockstar. they make the most amazing games and release the best dlc at very reasonable prices.$21 is too much for this.
  • yeah, i'm not sure i want to pick this stuff up though i probably will since it really was a fairly easy plat. i miss my 100%
  • I reckon Criteron has just gotten greedy after the success they had with Burnout (Hey even I bought that one twice). I liked having my 100%. But this is too expensive for me, I would buy it if it was 1 lot of DLC and around a tenner. But you could get a full game for this price!
  • I will be getting this this my fav car game on the ps3!! I think you can buy the lambo and porche cars as seprates or the cars will come in armed and dangerous events pack like the buggatti and gumpert and porche rst 2 did in the super sports pack!!! Or i hope......
  • taking the piss if you ask me. seriously more lambo's,Porsche any friggin chance of some motors not already in the game. like come on how many cars the same just a slightly differnt model number? ok a new mode great but bump up the price by adding the cars is not on.
  • What a rip off it should be one dlc not three.
  • No DLC so far on PSN, are you guys sure you didn't mean Feb. 23rd?
  • europe will be ripped off even more, the last dlc was $7 and cost €7 as well, so these will be thae same i bet, but $7 is about €5.12 so we getting screwed outta €2 more per dlc but u get 2 new game modes in the first one so maybe 7 aint too bad but its a bit too much for the other 2 :(
  • At least you guys don't live in Australia, each DLC is $11.45, and the Aus $ is stronger than the the US $.
