Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is set to get a massive fuel injection with three new doses of DLC that will untame Lamborghinis, unleash Porsches and offer an eight-player open world mode packed with new events to engage in all over Seacrest County. The packs will start to land from February 22nd with the subsequent two packs releasing over the next two consecutive weeks.
'Armed and Dangerous' will be the first pack to speed in on February 22nd, adding two brand spanking new game modes, expanding the game's online aspects. 'Most Wanted' is one such mode, where the cops are out to bust one racer while fellow racers strive to protect the target in an open world. The other mode is 'Arms Race', which is a frantic, no-holds-barred race to the finish line with a full arsenal of weapons primed and ready to blast your rivals off the road. 'Armed and Dangerous' will have three new trophies and will cost $7.
'Lamborghini Untamed' will be the second DLC pack introducing three new Lambos - namely the Diablo SV, Countach LP5000 QV and Sesto Elemento - in both standard and cop flavours, with 10 new events and four new trophies. It will be available from 1st March for $7.
And finally, 'Porsche Unleashed' will bring three new Porsches to NFS: Hot Pursuit's enviable garage of supercars, with the Porsche 911 Turbo (1982 Edition), Porsche 959 and 911 Speedster. The DLC will also add a further 10 events and four trophies for $7 on March 8th.
Good old Criterion. We haven't been spoiled with DLC for a racing game this much since the developer went crazy with free content in Burnout Paradise. Keep an eye out for the Hot Pursuit DLC from February 22nd onwards and check out the new content announcement trailer here.
