Dragon Age II
BioWare's Fernando Melo Talks Dragon Age II, Immediate Combat & the Sequel's Depth

For a lot of people, Dragon Age II currently sits as one of their most anticipated titles of Q1 2011... and rightly so we say, especially after how good of a romp Origins was. And boy did we romp... not with that freaky elf though... we probably would have caught something off him! Dirty, dirty boy!

Whilst getting our hands-on time with the game at EA’s UK HQ recently, we also caught up with Dragon Age II’s Senior Producer, Fernando Melo, and got the skinny on this year’s sequel which could mark the first of many potentially epic RPG sequels in 2011 – Skyrim and Mass Effect 3, we’re looking at you!

In it, we talk with Melo regarding the game’s improvements, whether they sacrificed depth for action and how Origins fans will find the changes in the sequel. We even cheekily ask whether we should keep hold of our Dragon Age II saves for the inevitable sequel. Ooh matron!

I think its sad that I think the gameplay looks too fast just because the frame rate doesn't suck like Origins did.

I'm glad they went the route of Mass Effect, origins was a nice idea but having a silent protagonist felt awkward at times. Plus the graphics look MUCH better. Compare a conversation scene from DA:O and then compare one to Mass Effect 2...each game came out only months apart but it looks like years.

Frame rate was a major issue on Origins. and there was too much going on on screen in terms of spells and augments. Your entire screen was glowing the whole time

framerate might be shoddy on DAO but the story what made me keep going back and connection with the characters you make.

Looks really good so far, I was a big fan of DAO and this looks like it has made improvements. Also it is Bioware so it has to be a great game

Man, the more I read and see about this game the more I cannot wait for it. I am almost done with Awakenings, then its on to the last two DLC's and I am all set for Dragon Age II.

I still cant wait for this game namely because of all the other info, though for rpgs i know im skipping skyrim because i hate the series its in and will probably wait for mass effect 3 to become cheaper first.

Though its nice that the battle will be abit faster to stop the enemy from mobing your mage.
