LittleBigPlanet 2
LittleBigPlanet 2's Controlinator Exposed

Getting stuff to move and work properly in LittleBigPlanet was no small task. In fact our attempts to build a fully working bipedal mech has been thwarted on multiple occasions by fiddly controls and the complexity of combining pistons, switches and pulleys.

Thankfully, Media Molecule has made our dream of creating a stampeding robot a real possibility with the introduction of the new Controlinator tool for LittleBigPlanet 2. Simply hook up your contraption to the controller and you can assign buttons to your creation's various functions and bring it to life.

Whether you want it to fly, drive or stomp, The Controlinator should make it a snap in LittleBigPlanet 2, thank goodness. For a few examples of what The Controlinator can do, check out the video below.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is due for release on January 18th, 2011.

These are in the beta. You can't use them as extensively as the video demonstrates but you get the general idea of how it works. Also, for anyone that's interested to know: the time trials that were a pain in the first game are now fun as hell. This game is going to be dope.
