Bandai Namco has announced that Tales of Berseria will be treated to a demo in January, a few weeks ahead of the game's launch on PlayStation 4 and PC.

A pre-order page will also be going live on the PlayStation Store soon, meaning you can get the game downloaded on to your PS4 ahead of the January launch. Pre-order via PSN, and you'll get three Tales of soundtracks and a PlayStation theme too.

Check out the game in a new English voice over trailer below, but be warned; it does contain some story spoilers, apparently. Tales of Berseria's demo will be available on PS4 from 10th January 2017, before the game proper launches on 24th January 2017 in North America and 27th January in Europe.

  • Hate me for this, but the Tales series has become re-skinned games, they are all so alike now. We need something different in the series.
  • Looks great to me. Might be the best one to date.
  • Good news, this will ease my wait for persona 5.
  • I've yet to unwrap my FFXV and Last Guardian, and we have this one coming in January -_-, then P5 so many games, and I'm still 20-25 hours behind to platting SO5
  • Yes! Can't wait!! Please add more soothing music like in Zestiria. Most Tales games had that rock and roll stuff..
  • I feel like I don't really need to play the demo if you've played the last few Tales games. I'm so far behind on my tales games, I'm working on Symphonia & Xillia, while I haven't even yet started Dawn of a New World, Xillia 2, Vesperia or Zestiria. By the time I finish all the ones I own, there will probably be 4 new Tales games out by then.
  • I hope NB don't follow SE's example and change the series. We've all seen what's happened to Final Kingdom hearts XV. RIP final fantasy BTW. This series has been more or less the same for 20 plus years and long may it continue, I say. You know what your getting with this series. Don't like it? don't buy it!
  • #7 Final Fantasy 15 was and is awesome so I don't see your point. :D
  • #7 Final Fantasy XV is a breath of fresh air for the series. I like how Square Enix has a great dichotomy between it's two main franchises: Final Fantasy is always experimenting, trying things that might or might not work. Dragon Quest is like that old comfy couch that you go to when you want something nice and familiar On Topic: I haven't played Zesteria yet, but I do like how this one has what looks like a badass main in Velvet. Milla was awesome in Xillia and Cheria from Graces is still probably my favorite Tales character ever
