Are We Going To See Bulletstorm Remastered?

Microsoft was handing out little USB sticks crammed with assets at its E3 presser last night, and journalists have started unpacking a few surprises...

It looks like Microsoft may have intended to show off a Bulletstorm Remastered at its press conference, but for some reason the game didn't make the cut. Alas, the assets have been found on the USB drive and uploaded all over the internet by now, hinting that the game certainly exists.

Whether it's an MS exclusive or not remains to be seen - the original did come out on PS3, so it's highly likely both platforms will see People Can Fly's high-octane shooter.

  • ugh no thanks, we're good..
  • I didn't mind the game at all. Wish they made a sequel.
  • Generally speaking, if the game wasn't a critical or commercial success, and the franchise died after one iteration, probably best to not bother remastering it.
  • The game was pretty badass. I don't mind it but it will probably be below my radar of wanted games
  • i thought the game sold poorly ? but still no thanks had no interest at all.
  • I don't know why they're bothering since the original bombed spectacularly and took one of the developers with it, plus any remaster would have to either redo or remove the online component since GameSpy is no more so would need an entirely new network infrastructure to make it work.
  • Who asked for this xD
  • I'm not sure this is a good idea. While Bulletstorm was certainly fun for many people, who will buy a remaster? It doesn't have a great following and I don't think a lot of people who passed on it before will buy it now.
  • Great game! I'd buy it. Very underrated.
  • #1 said it perfectly. I know one playthrough of that terrible game was enough for me. I'd sooner use a time machine to go back and save myself the time I wasted playing it than buy a remaster. And while I'm there, maybe I'll also stop myself from playing with the other shit People Can Fly took last generation: Gears of War Judgment.
  • I didn't get a chance to play it cuz I knew the online was about to close. If it's just the single player component to the game and like $19.99, I'd pick it up, cuz it is my type of game. I don't think I'd pay anymore for it though. if it does release at say $39.99, I bet you it'd drop to $19.99 before 6 months was up.
  • A remaster to such a mediocre game....
  • @Comment #5 by JamesSoprano It sold piss poor on the PS3 but on the XBOX 360 it almost doubled the amount from the PS3 version at 1.2 million copies.
  • Personally I loved this game. I'll get it if they release it sans online trophies or if they create a new server.
  • This was such a brilliant game, it reminded me of Duke Nukem a bit... It was really fun to play, I got it this game not expecting much and it turned out to be one of the most fun games I played on PS3. I'd prefer a sequel though but I'd definitely still buy a remastered version.
  • Yes! Absolutely everything should be remastered! Even when the new gens drop they should remaster the remastered versions from the previous gens!! Actually when is this website going to be remastered, get with the times! Pppffttt!
  • ....Seems I am the only one who enjoyed it lol.
