Mafia II 'Joe's Adventures' DLC Announced

Mafia II is getting yet another dose of story-driven DLC with Vito Scaletta's best buddy, Joe Barbaro taking centre stage in 'Joe's Adventures', an unimaginatively titled but no less interesting perspective for Mafia II's story.

[Spoiler Alert!] Joe's Adventures takes place during the middle segment in Mafia II that sees Vito heading to jail. During this time, you'll be playing as Joe while he strives to learn the truth behind Vito's detainment and the goings on and machinations of the rival Clemente family.

Joe's Adventures will boast similarly action-packed arcade gameplay to The Betrayal of Jimmy and Jimmy's Vendetta and will feature new clothing, items (such as moustache and aviators!) and period music.

There's currently no price tag or release date for Joe's Adventures. There are however, five new screenshots of the DLC. See 'em in the freakin' gallery.

  • Hopefully no stupid 1000 mile trophy
  • AWESOME! it's time I finished this game... but I played too many games with collectables lately... Will definitly buy this!
  • amen @1. stupid driving grinding trophies. Vendetta was fun but that 1000 mile trophy is stupid
  • Great,agreed with 1, that was a pointless trophy
  • What a rip off let down. Another cheap tacky arcade set of missions with no proper story, and its set during Vito's jail sentence? How come if joe goes on an exciting action packed adventure, he never told vito? just an excuse to make money, the retail game was good but i think i will miss this garbage
  • @ #5 couldn't have put it better myself. I loved the single player campaign, mainly because of the gritty story and great cutscenes. The DLC for this game is shit as anything. Tacked on, lazy and pointless Not worth a penny.
  • I thought it would take place then, and nice to see Joe get his hands dirty because out of all the friendly NPC's in the game more then half the time he did jack shit. Though yay for story driven DLC and sounds fun.
  • is the 3rd screen hinting that we may be able to actually interact with the whores. hopefully
  • I completely agree with #1, what a useless trophy. There better not be one like it in this DLC.
  • I was liking this until the timed arcade portion....Maybe its me But I like to take my time and have freedom especially with a character as awesome as Joe.
  • cool
  • That's sweet.
  • After all that grinding at Jimmy's Vendetta... No way, they'll not have my money.
  • I don't understand why everyone gets angry about grinding trophies that don't affect the platinum. Obviously you have nothing better to do than grind for a bronze. If the 1000 mile trophy was part of the regular game I'd be pissed but there's no sense in getting angry over a trophy that you wasted an afternoon going after because you have no life.
