inFamous was great, hope this is trueThursday, February 11, 2010 @ 08:45 AM
OMG 3 amazing game sequels (yes a lot of haters for infamous but I loved it) and all in 2010 mix that with Heavy Rain and FFXIII and this could be the best year for gaming yet.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 08:52 AM
i can't wait for all three of those games. i just hope that they don't all appear within the same monthThursday, February 11, 2010 @ 08:54 AM
They'd actually make another one of those? Bleh. They won't be making a sucker out of me again, though. Way too many good games to look forward to, especially if they do release it this year, for me to even consider dropping a single dime towards purchasing it. And even if they release it at a time when nothing good is coming out, there's always better games to save money for in the future, or better games that I missed when they released to pick up on the cheap. Really no excuse for them to try and sell me yet another mediocre at best third person shooter.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 08:57 AM
inFamous really surprised me; I ended up liking that much more than I figured I would and would probably pick up a sequel, though I'd rather they just take up a different story arc.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 09:02 AM
killzone 3 and resistance 3 and maybe a new buzz! Game were announced to be realeased sometime (2011?)Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 09:05 AM
This was news with a salty taste:D Hope it's true. I enjoyed the first game a lot and will definitley pick up the sequel, when/if it hits.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 09:06 AM
oh......my......god.......Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 10:01 AM
Hey, if Insomniac is capable of top quality games on a yearly basis, I see no reason why Sucker Punch, another amazing developer, couldn't do the same. inFAMOUS took around 3 years to develop mainly due to the fact that they were taking a lot of time reworking the Cooper engine, plus getting the whole super hero thing just right. Last year was just a phenomenal year getting games from Sony's trio of developers - Naughty Dog, Insomniac and Sucker Punch, among others. Another year with Sucker Punch and Insomniac would be welcomed, too.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 11:23 AM
One thing you have to consider is that Insomniac starts to develop one game while putting the finishing touches on another. Technically each group only comes out with a good game every two years.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 11:55 AM
I sure hope it gets released this year. :)Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 12:10 PM
Its possible that it could make 2010. & plus it will be done in half the time that the first 1 took as they already have the game engine just need 2 tweek it abit. plus its probly deep in development. but wot i wont 2 no if its gunna have multiplayer coz its rumoured 2 :DThursday, February 11, 2010 @ 02:49 PM
expect multiplayer. game was kind of one and done depending on the ending story path you chose.Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 03:13 PM

i hope this is true! i loved inFamous and this would be great!Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 04:05 PM
I am definitely ready for inFamous 2 (inFamous was my first Platinum, so it holds quite a bit of meaning to me) I just hope they don't uin it with too much new material. Like expand the story, give Cole a new power or two, but keep it around the same idea, just more to do. Arkham Asylum 2 would also make me rather happy, as the first one was utter brilliance! I'm not even going to go into Forced UnleashedThursday, February 11, 2010 @ 04:28 PM
cant waitThursday, February 11, 2010 @ 05:48 PM
I hope the cutscenes will be better than the first game!Thursday, February 11, 2010 @ 05:55 PM
Personally rather see Sly Cooper 4, but I did love the first inFAMOUS. I rented the first because I was skeptical, but more likely than not I'll probably buy this.Friday, February 12, 2010 @ 12:08 AM

PlayStation: The Official Magazine has reportedly got the scoop on three forthcoming sequels to 2009 blockbusters Batman: Arkham Asylum 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 and - get this - inFamous 2.
Arkham Asylum and The Force Unleashed have already been announced, but Sony or developer Sucker Punch have yet to issue any official word on a follow up to inFamous.
Apparently, the magazine even goes on to speculate that inFamous 2 will "[pick] up a significant time after the first game, offering a reshaped metropolis."
What's more, the publication also seems to think that these three blockbusters will all be appearing later in the year. That's this year. 2010.
We'll take this one with a huge side order of salt, please. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that we might see details emerge on an inevitable inFamous sequel soon, but an actual release? Possibly around Christmas, but even that's a long shot. We'll just have to wait and see.
Sony responded to the news, stating, "we do not comment on rumour or speculation."
Nuff said.
