Beyond Good & Evil figurehead, Michel Ancel, has told press at Paris Games Week that he splitting his time evenly between Ubisoft and his studio, Wild Sheep, who’s working on PlayStation exclusive, WiLD.

Ancel, who was on stage at Sony's Paris Games Week press conference yesterday showing off Wild, told Eurogamer, "It's very simple. I'm working half and half - I'm still working at Ubisoft. Here, because it's my studio, it's a very special game and I'm trying to do very crazy things on this game. It's two different things."

Previously, it was reported that Ancel was only working “part-time” at Ubisoft. Part-time seems to have been slightly off the mark.

That unannounced game, is it Beyond Good & Evil 2, you ask? Ancel almost laughed off that suggestion.

“Haha! Who said I was working on Beyond Good & Evil 2? I can't talk too much, because this is not Ubisoft!”

Whatever it is, Ancel is an accomplished game designer, as proven with his new IP, Wild, and of course, his impressive track record, so we can expect big things. Or at least hope for them.

That said, we'd still like Beyond Good & Evil 2. Please, Ubisoft.

  • I have hope for his own game. For whatever he's doing at Ubisoft, I'm sure it has lots of radio towers and pointless boring side things littering the map.
