NHL 15 was not exactly EA's finest work, but it's back again for another year in the appropriately named NHL 16. This time, EA Canada is looking to improve its ice hockey experience with a number of gameplay balancing adjustments, as demonstrated in this latest video.

The actual skating around the ice bit and passing play are highlighted as two key areas that will be the focus for NHL 16, with EA Canada looking to give players greater control, with quicker cuts while skating to retain momentum and speed while receiving the puck.

Body checking and stick checking are also on the list, with collsions to be made a little more subtle. And as ever, player AI for both your opposition and teammates is in the frame for some attention in NHL 16. Here's hoping it all pays off, as we're rather fond of a bit of video game hockey.

NHL 16 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 15th September, while PS3 and Xbox 360 players can look forward to NHL Legacy Edition. Check out the latest NHL 16 videos below.
