Rock Band 4 is coming back later this year, promising the most accessible rock fantasy imaginable, evolving the game with new features, new content and a greater focus on self-expression, rather than slavishly adhering to exactly what the game wants you to do. That mostly applies to the vocalist.

With an existing library of over 1,500 tracks and support for any you purchased for previous Rock Band titles, Rock Band 4 is certainly looking like an enticing return for the series. Factor in support for old instruments too, and that prospect seems even more inviting.

We sat down in an old diner to find out more about Rock Band 4 and its impending return from Product Manager Daniel Sussman. Check out our interview below. Rock Band 4 is out on 6th October 2015, and you can get our preview here.

  • I suck at these games
  • doesn't seem like its anything new. going with GH Live this time.
  • I really wish they'd announce a subscription service so I wouldn't have to rebuy my old songs and would be able to make a half decent setlist without shelling out 100 dollars
  • @2 - Some people prefer the same thing, people know they like that and know exactly what the game will be. GH Live looks interesting, but it could turn out really awful, whereas you can guarantee Rock Band will be as good as always. @3 - It's kinda ironic that some people want this for Rock Band, yet have hammered GH for doing something similar.
  • @4 Its probably the people that have 200+ songs downloaded and play RB religiously. I'd be okay if I hadn't switched from 360 to ps4... Too bad they didnt link the songs to your Harmonix account or something.
