Give Blood in Denmark, Get a Copy of Bloodborne

Giving blood is a lovely, altruistic thing to do. You should do it if you can. But if you fancy getting rewarded for handing over your claret, then Sony Denmark teaming up with Danish blood donor outfit GivBlod accepting donations in exchange for a copy of Bloodborne ought to fit the bill.

If you don't want a copy of Bloodborne, there are other undisclosed PlayStation 4 titles that you'll be able to choose from, although the blood drive is using Bloodborne as the promotional game, because A. it has 'blood' in the title and B. is coming out soon, and is bound to be awesome.

Should you be in Denmark at ITU in Copenhagen and giving blood on Monday 23rd March, you'll not only get a PS4 game, but you'll also be entered into a competition to win a PlayStation 4 console.

From Software's Bloodborne will be making its way exclusively to PlayStation 4 on 25th March in North America and 28th March in Europe.

  • March 24 in NA, March 25 in EU, March 26 in Japan, March 28 in UK
  • March 27 in UK
  • ... Why couldn't I be in Denmark right now...
  • Come to the UK god dam it, ether way come the 27th March, i'll be spilling Blood as a new Borne Hunter.
  • Why not in Sweden?
  • I read about it yesterday, but I can't help and wonder if it really is considered charity if you get something in return. Especially something worth over $60 right out the door? I know it's for the good cause and all, but charity should be based on giving and not getting back or at least not expecting anything back and this is advertised in a way, that a lot more people will go to do this just to nab a copy. Nothing is black and white anymore, I guess...
  • UK not in the EU again.lol I thought only Ubisoft seem to remove UK from EU on releasing games.
  • @2 yeah, you're right, it's the 27th
  • No disrespect but its a cheap ploy/marketing tool. Do you honestly expect a charity to be giving out free games to everybody who turns up. You do know they can probably only take a few people in the day.....so the hundreds who might turn up they hope to nab a few pints but more importantly a few sign ups to their register. Plus if the only reason your giving blood in the first place is for a free game makes me feel sad. The blood stocks must be pretty low in Denmark to warrant bribing for it.
  • oh wouldn't it be funny if it was a free demo of the game rather than the full version :)
  • Also, a side-note. You have to roll a die when you are done with the blood donation. Meaning that you might not get the game at all, but inside another one, not a clue what it could be though.
  • Can I use someone else's blood?
  • lol. *instead. fucking auto-correct on my computer is making look silly...
  • can I haz tickets to Denmark plz
  • We danish people are lucky. Will be the first time I give blood ^^
  • Gotta buy a plane ticket to fly out there for a week now
  • The city of Copenhagen is ahead of many others. I have to revisit it for the Bertels Cheesecake alone ) And that's a nice marketing stunt, changing the default currency of giving blood to a game. Gives a funny touch to your copy.
  • It costs blood in Denmark but an arm and a leg here in the UK.
  • Blood In Blood Out
  • cool i wld give blood for a ps4 game even tho i hate needles yuk..
  • Can I ship mine in the mail?
  • they only take "good" blood, so if you got "bad" blood, forget.
  • and also you have to be 17 to give blood here in Denmark, and if your blood isnt good enough they wont accept it but you will still be in the competition of Bloodborne Exclusive PS4 version There is also a few other things to give blood , people who have some kind of dissease can NOT give blood and there for not get game AND you and not getting bloodborne no matter what , after you give the blood a Dice roll will decide if you are getting another game than bloodborne and there will not be hundred of people meeting up at these usually thats why sony make these things while schooltime then they avoid alot of kids showing up And also there is in need of Blood from danish men so i actually think this is a good way to make people know about it. If you allready are registerede blooddonor and meet up you would also get a game if you have your blooddonor official card. There are 6 million people in Denmark, 1 million live in Copenhagen, and there are only sold like 5.000 PS4 here in Denmark so i DONT think there are 100 of people and queue just to deliver blood.
