Another day and yes, another financial report comes out and gives us a piece of news. I kid you not, financial statements and reports are fast becoming the major source for news these days, which doesn't say a lot about the PR departments...

Anyway, I digress. In Activision's second quarter financial results for 2010, the publisher revealed that the United Front Games developed True Crime: Hong Kong would now be shipping in 2011.

Activision stated that the delay was in order "to give the development team more time to deliver the high-quality entertainment experience they envision for the game."

So, first Brink slips, then Crysis 2 and now True Crime. What's next? Well, it won't be Halo: Reach... that's gone gold!

the wait sucks but hopefully that will give them time to fix potential bugs

Activision doesn't spend their time with developers fixing bugs or tweaking games. They wait for the best time to make the most money out of something they're contractually obligated to release. TC didn't look like it needed more work to be done from what they showed.

At least this game doesn't have online like MNR. Too bad I'm gonna have to pass it.

I liked the first game, the 2nd not as much, I hope the 3rd game brings something new to the sandbox genre, I mean currently my favourite game is still Just Cause 2, simply because its huge and incredibly fun, hope this game can contend with it!

But as far as I know, they originally announced that it was coming out in 2011 anyway. Either I was wrong (which I'm pretty sure I'm not) or this report is right.
