Tecmo Koei has announced that Dead or Alive 5 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2015, as 'Dead or Alive 5: Last Round', no doubt sporting shinier graphics and a ton of content.

The new-gen version of Dead or Alive 5 was announced during the DoA5 Ultimate Arcade Fighting Carnival 2014, with a short teaser and very little actual information on what would be included with the game. This being the 'Last Round', however, you'd expect a load of costumes and other bonus guff.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be coming to Japan in spring 2015 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. A release for western territories has not been revealed as yet. We'll keep our ear to the ground for more.

  • This is probably the second best fighting franchise slightly behind MK
  • If they release it with all the dlcs i might get it.
  • If this game comes to NA it will just prove that Sony and M$ are desperate for games .
  • This will be the third version of DoA5, it seems like they are milking the franchise just like Capcom do with their fighting games. Just make DoA6 already...
  • Ah, so HD bewbs eh?
  • As much as I love this series but this latest incarnation is really stretching things too far. The PS4 version of DOA 5 will be the 4th incarnation in the last 2-3 years, I'd much rather they either gave us DOA 6 or Xtreme Beach Vollyball 3. If I do get this, it will most likely be wither when it's in the bargain bin or second-hand.
  • Any word if this is coming with some of the previous DLC costumes? I only bought the first bundle of DOA5:U and didn't buy any other DLCs since.
  • I see this being DOA5 Ultimate without needing to buy any of the characters. DLC for free... That I've gotta see. Koei Tecmo, for all they re-re-rerelease games, they don't give you DLC for free very easily unless you own it on the same system.
  • I used to love DoA, but the hundreds of dollar dlc has really turned me off to it. I know it's not required, but it's ridiculous. I simply choose not to support companies like that.
