I usually don't mind the remasters, but....seriously?! Hopefully it's not broken.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:38 PM
Well guess I don't need to get it for my PS3 collection now.....Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:39 PM
Im actually happy to hear this news! This was one game I never had the chance to play last gen that I had meant too and after coming over from the Xbox to the PS4, this feels like a brand new release to me for this Gen!Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:41 PM
@3 That is a positive of these ports.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:46 PM
Just finished this 100% last month! I should have waited? How HD remastered is this?Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:47 PM
I'll get this for sure. Also I'm wondering if this stand-alone will have its own plat', not sure but there's some hope.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:57 PM
As #3 said, I haven't played this yet, though it was on a list of games 'to play' that I hadn't gotten around to just yet. Though, there's a whole slew of new gen releases I plan on getting between now and January, so even my PS4 backlog may be bogged down by then. That was the beauty of re-releases coming over the last 6 months, they filled gaps - ones coming from now are competing against brand new titles.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 06:58 PM
I will buy that for 30 dollars, which is exactly how much it'll cost.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 07:00 PM
if it comes with all of the dlcs, I would pick it up. Haven't played it yet.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 07:08 PM
Still waiting for the PS3 version to go on PS+ lol and I'll continue to wait, ever since SR2 and SR3 were on PS+ I've been passing every deal and price drop on this in the hope this makes it to PS+ too. Hopefully with this coming out the PS3 version will be on Plus, like what happened to Tomb Raider.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 08:56 PM
i liked 1 and 2 better these games have gotten so wacky that there not fun to look at or playFriday, August 29, 2014 @ 09:54 PM
Will it have it's own trophy list ? I'd buy the standalone expansion on ps4 if it has it's own list, if the trophies gets added to the ps3 list i guess I'd have to dust off the ps3. Why was GTA 4s standalone games added to the main GTA 4 list and not have their own platinums and own lists, they wasn't short games.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 09:59 PM
Now this is just getting silly. Is there anything from last gen that they WONT be remastering? Also, regarding Saints Row 4, I suppose it'll just be a graphical upgrade right? It'd be too much to hope that they'll be tightening up the controls, smoothing out the gameplay and so fourth, right? Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the game, but I found it a bit too buggy, and a bit too loose to replay...Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 10:46 PM
Was hoping for Saints Row 5 as a next-gen only title, but I'll take it. SRIV just wasn't all that good IMO and I'm one of the few who loves the wacky direction they took with SR3. Gat out of Hell sounds good though so at least there is something new.Friday, August 29, 2014 @ 10:53 PM
Another one!? Time to pass on another game.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 12:29 AM
I already got Saints Row 3 & Saints Row IV 100% Platinumed... but I love Saints Row & i'll Platinum any Saints Row game there is!Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 01:03 AM
Buggy mess. Worst sequel. A really big waste of time. I feel sorry for anyone who pays for this.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 02:54 AM
Out of all the Saints Row's they could of remastered they choose IV sigh.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 03:21 AM
i loved the third game when it arrived to ps plus. Cant wait to play a next gen version with all dlc included :DSaturday, August 30, 2014 @ 04:40 AM
Volition needs to bring back the original Saints Row for PS4 and Vita!Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 10:11 AM
Won't be picking this up. I bought the PS3 version this year, and it wasn't as good as SR3. I'm quite surprised this game alone got a remaster...Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 10:22 AM
MAJOR disappointment! *epic facepalm* -_- Well done with this piece of junk.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 11:26 AM
Really? Saints Row gets the remastered treatment, don't get me wrong I like the game but there is absolutely NO NEED for this to be remastered, the graphics for the character models suck on the PC version and look the exact same on console, the console versions had solid framerate and lighting effects so this is really pointless in my opinion. Seems we have two main culprits for this remastering cash in now; Square Enix and Deep Silver milking games that are available on every console.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 12:42 PM
Just going to be a high end version of what the PC gives out now at a higher price on next gen when you can pick it up cheap on steam right nowSaturday, August 30, 2014 @ 03:33 PM
I got rid of my PS3 before this came out and I loved the 3rd one thought it was hilarious hopefully this won't be that bad.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 04:44 PM
This is kind of a pointless remaster imo. unlike metro which at least contains the first game which didn't even hit ps3 at the time or the last of us which is taking advantage of people jumping ship form the xbox so thats understandable. This on the other hand is just pointless milking. What they should have done is make a saints row collection containing the first 4 games, cause at least the first saints row never came to ps3.Saturday, August 30, 2014 @ 11:10 PM
Id play it again. It was fun enough. I would prefer a new one, but whatever. Its the time of ports. I can wait.Sunday, August 31, 2014 @ 12:55 AM
If it has all pieces of DLC itll be worth it, at least for me.Sunday, August 31, 2014 @ 12:11 PM
To be fair it makes sense, why release a add on for a last gen game when a lot of people will have traded their last gen console for next gen.Sunday, August 31, 2014 @ 08:11 PM
Hey, another port. Surprise *.*Wednesday, January 21, 2015 @ 10:42 AM
Why would they not? Its the same BS Rockstar pulled when they released GTA5. At least they did not blatantly lie and say they would not release it on the next gen console and then turn around and do so. This really is no surprise to me. Instead of releasing the game as an expansion like they planned, they just released it as a whole new game to make more money. Why in the world would they stop there when they can release it again for the new console.

With Volition announcing Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell as a 'standalone expansion' for Saints Row IV on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, it stands to reason that Saints Row IV will be making its way to new-gen platforms. Which is exactly what the developer has just confirmed at PAX.
That's right; Saints Row IV will be the latest in a long line of remastered games coming to PS4 and Xbox One, with 'Saints Row IV: Re-Elected' heading to new-gen consoles in January 2015, alongside the Gat Out of Hell expansion. You can read up on that (if you haven't already) here.
Both Saints Row IV: Re-Elected and Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell will be out in January 2015. Gat Out of Hell will also be bundled with Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, which is good.
