BioWare Edmonton and Montreal boss Aaryn Flynn has been discussing the new Mass Effect game, saying that the upcoming sci-fi- RPG will not be completely separate from the previous trilogy.
Speaking to GameTrailers, Flynn said “I can’t get into that too much. We’ve got a really cool idea for how we’re going to carry on – keep the trilogy separate but at the same time give a bunch of nods to fans who enjoyed the trilogy in the past. That’s all going to come out soon."
When asked about returning characters, Flynn added, “Hmm. Definitely returning races. It wouldn’t be a Mass Effect game without the Krogans – we showed a Krogan today.”
He’s right, they did show a Krogan. You can see one in the behind-the-scenes vid below, shown during EA’s E3 press conference earlier in the week.
