Sony have released a vid for Killzone Shadow Fall: Intercept, a brand new co-op experience from Guerrilla Games.

Featuring an interview with Lead Designer Arjan Bak, the vid shares more info on Intercept’s gameplay and some of the different Combat Roles available in the class-based mode.

“Killzone Shadow Fall: Intercept places you and up to three of your friends on the elite VSA team known as Intelligence Squad Alpha,” says the PlayStation Blog

“Operating behind enemy lines, your team must relay important Helghast military transmissions back to VSA headquarters – but you’ll need to keep Helghast forces at bay long enough to establish an Uplink first…

“With a new teamwork-oriented game mode, four distinct Combat Roles, four new arena maps and a unique set of bonuses that include the jetpack, Intercept adds a whole new dimension to the Killzone Shadow Fall experience.”

Available as a DLC expansion for Killzone Shadow Fall, which can either be purchased separately or accessed as part of the season pass, Intercept hits this summer. Killzone Shadow Fall: Intercept will also be available as a standalone game later this year.

  • Now this I can get behind. Bundle this with the competitive multiplayer and you got a sale. I've just never been into KZ's single player and this one's seemed even more meh, so just take it out of the equation
  • Standalone release also? So we may see a seperate trophy list arrive like Killzone 3 Multiplayer... interesting...
  • @#1 If you don't like KZ, I doubt this will be up your alley. It is a totally different experience mainly due to how it handles. Every movement is heavier, more deliberate and there is no auto aim, but I bet you knew all that.. OT: I am looking forward to it! I have been trying to put some hours into Watch Dogs, which is hard with baby in the house now, but will definitely use this as excuse to jump back into KS when it comes out=)
  • I have two concerns. First is pricing, which I am hoping isn't expensive. Second is whether or not the standalone players can play with those that own the game and DLC.
  • Lol, wtf is with that guy's eyes?
