Following last week’s tease, Codemasters’ next game has been revealed. It’s called GRID: Autosport.
Although currently unconfirmed by Codemasters themselves, GRID: Autosport was outed by BrasilGamer in a report which contains both info and a set of images.
According to the report, GRID: Autosport will contain five modes, 22 locations and over 100 tracks. Night drive marathons will appear, while players can earn sponsorships and compete in weekly challenges.
It’s believed that GRID: Autosport will be the largest GRID game to date and it’s launching on June 27th for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
Why no PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version? Well, Codemasters hasn’t even revealed the game formally yet, so nothing is confirmed, but expect install bases and the series’ established EGO 3 engine to play a part in the reasoning.
A proper announcement is expected at 4pm today, though the report may force Codemasters' hand to make it a little earlier.
The last game in the GRID series was GRID 2, a quality racing title with the very best trophy list the world has ever seen (possibly).
