The Farm 51, the developer behind Deadfall and Painkiller, has posted on their website that their next project will be 'Get Even,' an ambitious next-gen project that utilises full 3D scans of real locations and people, to create realistic visuals. The technology has been developed with research institutes and independent specialists.
Get Even also aims to remove the barrier between single-player and multiplayer, promising to link the modes in a "unique way". In the campaign, players can join the game as enemies previously controlled by the AI, adding an element of unpredictability to proceedings.
The Farm 51's game is also looking to expand its storytelling approach, with two perspectives from opposing protagonists forming the core of Get Even's narrative. Gameplay will differ depending on your choice of side, and the story will unfold through gameplay, exploration and interaction rather than via traditional cut-scenes and dialogue.
Get Even is set to release on next-gen consoles. A launch date has yet to be revealed. You can check out the first screenshots below.
