Warner Bros. Investigating Corrupt Batman: Arkham Origins Saves

Warner Bros. Montreal is investigating reports of corrupt save files in Batman: Arkham Origins.

Since the game released last week, numerous users across forums and social media have complained that their game saves have been corrupted, leading to hours of progress being lost.

It’s not the first time such issues have affected an Arkham title. Similar complaints were made about the previous games in the franchise, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

“We are currently reviewing and validating issues that have been reported to us,” Warner Bros. told PS3T. “Updates will be deployed once we have fixes available.”

How long we’ll have to wait before the fix is released remains to be seen. So in the meantime, some users are reporting that the problem can be avoided by playing offline, though that is yet to be confirmed.

Have you been affected by corrupt save files in Batman: Arkham Origins? Let us know.

They never fixed this problem in the first 2 games so I have zero confidence they'll fix it this time either :(.

Yea WB and while your at fix your piece of shit online mode can't even get connected to a lobby, mics don't work, dropping out in a middle of a map, game freezing when trying to find a lobby, can't start without a full lobby, can't pick which faction I want to be and work on there was no thought put into this online mode yet another good franchise going down the shitter cause of shoe horned online mode that time spent put online in could have been spent on more quality control sorry for the long post but boy did I need to get that off my chest.

Must just be me, but apart from the odd strange glitch, I actually think WB did a brilliant job with AO. I may even prefer it to AC

I remember when people used to enjoy playing games, now 99% of gaming consists of moaning about it.

Thank god for PS Plus. I beat it last night with only one flaw where I fell through the map but I hit restart and it took me to literally two steps before the glitch happened and it functioned perfectly the second time.

@11 I know awesome right!

Hopefully they fix this save issue quickly - Didn't get this one due to the change in devs - that is looking like a better and better decision everyday.

I lost 29 levels on Joker Gang, I lost 6000 Coins and got noting after the game frozed on me after i paid for the copplepot prem for 6000 coins. Im sick of these half down games ruining the experience. It feels just like GTA 5 all over again they got till PS4 to come out to give me back my progress or my coins or i'm NEVER buying any batman products again. Plus lets not forget the lag out problems this game has and freeze ups where i have to get out of my chair every 6 times to shut off and turn on my system. This is all on WB here fix the problem

Picking this up Friday with Black flag but I'll be playing Black flag first and Mirrors of Fate before Arkham. Just another reason why Day 1 patches don't work. Also sick of people who defend developers for rushing a product without QA and testing the damn thing first. Its why I tell my friends I hadn't started playing GTA5 until recently. I can understand Bethesda cause they have a reputation for this bs with bugs and glitches cause their games are so complex but come on Save file issues should've been discovered in Beta testing the game. Not throwing the game together and say here you go Gamers beta test it for us.

I haven't had any problems with my save files, but I'm keeping away from MP until they patch that. Not in the mood to get to level 28 and lose everything.

I never buy games as soon as they are released. A. it's way to expensive for my budget and B. the AAA titles all seem to have problems, either save data problems, 100% completion trophies and of course the whole MP just going haywire. it's a shame the gaming industry just tries to churn these titles out year after year and not giving them a thorough testing. but money talks and as long as the product sells they don't really care I guess. it'll happen a lot more in the future no doubt.

I'm having an incredibly hard time connecting to an online game. But I think the single player is pretty good

That's weird Warner Bros, I'm investigating the possibility of waiting till Arkham Origins actually works before I buy the game. It's like whoever's been putting stupid juice in the movie department's water supply found out where the gaming division of WB works.
