Sony has announced September’s PlayStation Plus line-up for Europe and it includes some great additions to the Instant Game Collection.

The biggest of the bunch is one that we already knew was coming. It’s Assassin’s Creed III, the latest in Ubi’s mammoth series which shifts the historic action to America for the first time.

Beyond that there’s also indie gem Stealth Inc and the Jak and Daxter Trilogy. Plus on PS Vita there’s Trials HD-alike Urban Trial Freestyle and New Little King’s Story.

Pretty badass, right?

Leaving PS Plus this month:

28th August: Need for Speed Most Wanted

28th August: ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection

28th August: Demon’s Souls

28th August: LEGO Lord of the Rings

28th August: When Vikings Attack

Entering PS Plus this month:

28th August: Assassin’s Creed 3

28th August: The Jak and Daxter Trilogy

28th August: Stealth Inc: A Clone In The Dark

28th August: Urban Trial Freestyle

28th August: New Little King’s Story

  • happy happy happy :)
  • Wow, you guys get REALLY good updates across the Atlantic. I know a lot of people hate on ACIII but it's definitely worth playing for free!
  • Nice list of games you guys are getting, I might be abit upset if I didn't play all but the last one XD
  • I'm happy about Assassins Creed 3 and Jak and Daxter Triliogy (even though I brought the PSVita version like last week) I'll need a new hard drive soon!!
  • AC3 WTF This is too good to be True.
  • AC3 and high quality? eh .. yeah .. well
  • ACIII was announced at Gamescom, but yeah, another good EU month. Hope this keeps going even after the PS4 launch. For some reason I'm doubtful...
  • Already got AC3, but the others will be welcome additions to my collection, especially the Jak and Daxter games.
  • is Jak and Daxter Trilogy for vita and ps3? i already have the ps3 one
  • They said it will, unless you mean quality wise. I can only see it getting better. Especially if requiring subs to support online servers end up boosting how many subs they have, they will have more money to throw at companies to get their games on plus. Most people think that's why EU tends to have overall bigger titles than NA, they have more subs, and maybe licensing is cheaper there, either way it probably comes down to money. I can't picture it getting worse.
  • Not to get political, but I've read on many occasions, that movies usually recreate a specific American location elsewhere, because our government taxes cost more than the cost to recreate something that's already here, which if you think about it, is insane. A lot if those guys, the directors and such, say they would have preferred to do it here, creating jobs for that area. I imagine the video game industry probably has similar issues, and maybe the cost to a publisher to be able to give away a game for free on plus is more here than in EU, thus we feel shafted, but end up blaming Sony as if they discriminate. Just my 2 cents
  • Hope Jak & Daxter come to NA. Then I can leave the plastic wrap on my copy of Jak 3 for PS2 lol
  • Nice list, I already have the Jak and Daxter Trilogy and shame Urban Trial Freestyle is for vita I would have liked it for PS3.
  • @12 Jesus Christ really? How far back does your backlog go man!?
  • I guess I'll be moving to EU soon, US gaves us crap this month
  • Guess I will finally have to create a EU account and get PS+ on there too that way I don't miss anything.
  • New Little King’s Story ^_^
  • Oh my god....I didn't get eu plus in Feb thinking I already missed all the good stuff eu had to offer but no...they still at it....filthy American plus disgusts me. Damn you Morgan Haro!!!! I know it isn't his fault but I like blaming him. Its better to believe there's just 1 incompetent than a group of them
  • - The Jak and Daxter Trilogy (#PS3) - Stealth Inc: A Clone In The Dark (PS3) - Urban Trial Freestyle (#PSVita) - New Little King’s Story (PS Vita)
  • I've never played an Assasin's creed before believe it or not! I suppose I will now I'm looking forward to it.
  • @14 I still have every game I've ever owned back to N64. Jak 3 is the only one still in its plastic. It's hard to finish everything when you buy a PS2 in '09 with 12 JRPGs and a PS3 in '10 and get hooked on multiplayer FPS in '11 on top of PS+
  • ARE U FUCKING ME!!!! I WILL NEVER BUY A NA PS+ MEMBERSHIP! THIS HAS GOTTEN SO ONE SIDED THAT IT HAS PISSED ME OFF BEYOND BELIEVE! ITS LIKE SONY WANTS TO TEASE THE LOYAL NA PS LOVERS BY PURPOSELY GIVING THEM THESE FUCKING RIDICULOUS PS+ UPDATES EVERY MONTH. WHILE OURS DOESNT EVEN COMPARE!! THE REASON IM SO MAD OS BECAUSE I KNOW WHEN FUCKING MONDAY COMES AND THEY ANNOUNCE OURS ITS GONNA FUCKING SUCK COMPARED TO WHAT THERE GETTING, AND DONT EVEN COMMENT AT ME IF YOUR JUST GONNA SAY THERE FREE GAMES BE HAPPY. FUCK THAT! WHEN IM PAYING THE SAME AMOUNT THEY ARE FOR SHIT IN COMPARISON!
  • @22 Jeez dude please turn off your caps lock! It's really not that serious. Don't know how many times it's been said, but the SCEA and SCEE are 2 different entities. It's not Sony as a whole that has some unforeseen conspiracy against North America. (I live in the states btw!)
  • @22 CAN YOU HEAR ME? I THINK YOUR CAPS LOCK IS BROKEN!
  • @22 We pay more over here than you do in NA for PS+
  • Comment #22 by CB7Tuner91 lighten to fuck up and deal with it. what europe gets america gets down the line and vise versa. now i could state europe gets fucked over a lot more than america after all we can name countless games and deals that never ever appear on our shores. OH DID I MENTION THE PS$ IS OUT 2 WEEKS EARLIER.......what the hell was that all about considering supposed to be a world wide launch....then add in all those launch titles where you lot get a 2 week jump start on the rest of us. just imagine 2 weeks and your all leveled up online kicking our asses unfairly due to the perks and shit. SO STOP YOUR BITCHING.
  • @23 Yes i know and Morgan Haro should be fired! The guys a bum at his position and a monkey could do a better job. I know everyone is gonna disagree, but if there's gonna be this kinda gap in games were getting then ours should be cheaper or there's need to be more expensive. That's the only way to even it out.
  • sorry ps4 was holding down shift to shout like poster #22 lol
  • @Comment #27 by CB7Tuner91 jesus christ you post some crap. take a chill pill.
  • Whoooaaa! AC3, Jax trilogy and Stealth inc at the same time? Niccceee.
  • EU gets better and better yet US gets slowly better. Very very very slowly. This month we got boring Hitman, Bit.Trip Runner which most people have, and DLC Pinball 2: Star Wars Add On. EU gets all this in one month. Not to mention Stealth Inc which not only do they get free but they also got the DLC free.
  • @15 Just set-up a EU account and get PS+ on that.
  • @Comment #32 by CaptainJeff87 this is getting teadious because when we got the hitman americans bitched and moaned about that and you lot got it what was it very soon after. same with sleepin dogs ect: also you implying europeans dont have these games already on bluray as well. its luck of the draw. we can go on for ever and ever with you got this and you got that but end of the day america has been getting the cream for decades and you can't handle it when europe gets something a month or so ahead of you. Like i mentioned before we can name countless games that never see our stores right through the ps3 era and we are never go to get them now considering the ps3 will be yesterdays news come november. SO end of day its europe who is due a good run first don't you think after all we didn't turn our backs on the brand like the north americans this whole gen. LOL
  • Very good news! I already have the AC3 plat though, I borrowed it from a friend and have the Jak and Daxter trilogy on PS3, but apparently it's cross buy, so the vita's getting a roster of 6 games this month, and I don't own any of them :)
  • cant wait to finally be able to play jak and daxter trilogy
  • It's probably bad that I never played a Jak and Dexter game as a kid...
  • @22 You pay less, you get less. You nearly always get games in NA before EU get them, some games even upto a year before EU. You got Counter Strike ages ago, we still haven't got it in the EU. Your retail games are cheaper than what we pay in the EU. In the UK PS+ is £39.99, which works out as $62.39. You don't get such a bad deal for what you pay. If it affects you that much set-up a EU account and pay $62.39 for PS+ and shut up. Have a nice day
  • I only just heard of Jak and Daxter today what is it? :/ Don't blame me I grew up with N64 and Gamecube!
  • Maybe this offensive act to the US will require intervention of Sony in Japan.
  • Jak collection & AC III are awesome I've already played both... Stealth Bastard and Trials? wooo!
  • If Sony keeps appearing to give little concern to their subscribers in NA, especially when it is Xbox's largest market and the new consoles release soon, there is a potential for them to convert. Mind you, I'm not saying I plan on it or that it's a smart move, but the average consumer may see this discrepancy as a sign of lack of concern and/or bias. Even if, as some have pointed out, Europeans pay a slightly higher rate than those in NA, I don't think the roughly $10USD difference warrants this much of a difference in content. Looking strictly at these paid services (and not who gets what before the other, because it's irrelevant here), European PS+ is almost twice as good as NA PS+, and there's not much difference in pricing. If all it takes is a price increase to $60USD for a year of PS+ to get better games every month of the year, then why hasn't this been done?
  • Just AC3 and New Little Kings Story for me, already have the retail version of Jak and Daxter Trilogy, not really interested in the others, but might play them since they're free, still hoping for DMC at some point though
  • @39 Think of Banjo Kazooie or Mario 64 for the first one think of that to a lesser extent with guns for the 2nd and 3rd it's what naughty dog, the people who made Uncharted and the Last of Us, made during the PS2 era and it's my favorite series ever
  • @42 Then set-up EU account and get PS+ then. It's not that much better.
  • @44 Thanks for the info I may look into it but my PS3 has little memory and I'm not sure how PS Plus works does it charge you at all for the free games?
  • @45 Why should I need to cheat the system like that to get good service? Ignoring the fact that it's against ToS to make an account for a region you don't live in since it requires providing false information, your suggestion requires me to make unnecessary steps. My point is that if money is the excuse for why EU PS+ is so much better, I'm sure NA PS+ users wouldn't mind paying the same price to get better content. I also noted that having such a difference is going to affect morale of PS+ owners in NA, which can lead to people to stop paying into PS+ or convert to a different system that provides better content for their region. It's not a personal issue like you tried to make it out to be, it's fair criticism of the huge difference in services between EU and NA for what has already been stated to be a small $10USD.
  • @47 Valid E-mail is all that is required
  • @48 You're missing the point. It's against the ToS and isn't something the average user will do. It's an unnecessary step to create an account for a different region. It also still doesn't do anything to improve the service for my region. I'd rather Sony find ways to improve the service here so I can do things the right way. The "just get an EU account" mentality is like ignoring the problem. How is ignoring a problem going to fix it?
  • Did they even announce US PS+ for the month? Why is most bent out of shape for only having half the information, Sony already said AC3 will be EU and US as for the other games Jak Trilogy was just on sale for $5 so if you didn't buy it then chances are you didn't want it anyways. I'm a US gamer and have had a Japanese and Europe account for over 5 years. I'm sure that there are more people who have different region accounts, Sony isn't going to ban you. Doing that would lose them $$ I don't think that I know 1 person to ever get any kind of ban from SOE and there are a bunch of kids on my list I know mod COD daily.
  • agree with #22
  • Nothing really here for me except maybe Little King (oh those boring trophy icons)... and perhaps Jak 1 - just that... not willing to give myself a headache with 2 and play crappy pacman forever with 3... Consider it a break on PS Plus and try to clear some backlogs on disc... About AC3, it's not FREE for those who go for 100% completion as there are a lot of DLCs...
  • @52 the game is still free, you don't need to get the dlc for a game to enjoy it, even though the dlc is great. I know I got Saints row the third for free and because I did like it so much I got the dlc, so yeah might buy the dlc but that's still the dlc price and not the game price, and even if you do count that in the price getting a game and the dlc for the dlc price alone is still great.
  • @50 Don't misunderstand, I never said I personally have been upset. I merely stated that having huge differences between service offerings in two of Sony's largest markets is not a good thing to have. It reflects poorly on Sony and, if people are fed up of perceived bias they will go to other services that offer better content for their region, as in switching to Microsoft because their services are more friendly to NA users. The simple fact is that for the past several months, PS users in NA have been vocal about their weak lineups of PS+, especially when compared to EU PS+. As a company that claims to put gamers first, Sony should be listening to feedback and thinking if solutions to improve the service. As I stated previously, nobody should need to go out of their way to get access for a service that isn't even meant to be accessed by them. Your solution is to sit comfortably, ignore a problem and just #DealWithIt. My solution is that if that many people are upset, Sony is obligated as a company to find a way to keep those customers happy so they stay customers.
  • Ok that's it. I'm setting up an EU account to get plus along with my NA plus.
  • Should I set in up for England or western Europe? Would it be cheaper if I pick one of the other countries for example?
  • @22 you get free games every week as well as every month :/
  • @54 you make it seem like sony don't care about US gamers. There's all sorts of things that come into effect when choosing games for PS+. Sony looks at how many copies where sold of a particular game in each region if you sold 10 million copies in the US and 3 in EU chances are EU is getting the game while US will have a different one. Also i am sure the developers/publishers have a big say in what content goes where as it is there game being offered. I briefly skimmed the TOA and didn't see anything about having different region accounts being a violation. Maybe they did have it in there and removed it or maybe I missed it. LINK TO TOS: http://us.playstation.com/support/useragreements/termsserviceagreemt/index.htm?EMC-PSUWelcome&ATTR=PSU_USToSUAPP_W001_PPP_AGN_001_TOS_T PS+ is optional and people buy it knowing that there's a good chance the games being offered where ones that they already own/played and they still get bent out of shape. If you where here when plus started it was 1 PS Classic game 2 PSN titles and 2 mini games. Sony has come a long way since then and now everyone thinks there entitled to the entire G.O.D. library. Also I have a 360 and even users without plus get better deals then what xbox offers.
  • Now i just wish theyd tell me what ps+ NA gets in september ._. i hope AC3 but i doubt it :( or did they already announce it? hmmmmm -.-
  • @58 What I said was people can and are interpreting Sony as showing bias and or a lack of concern. Believe me, I know that there's a lot of factors that go into determining and negotiating games that will be offered in the IGC for PS+. I'm a patient and understanding person, and to be honest I'm content with PS+ offerings in NA because the games just end up in my backlog anyways. Most people aren't happy, however. I am just suggesting that Sony could find ways to improve the service, such as charging $60USD to ensure more quality content to make customers happy. (BTW, the ToS violation is providing Sony with false information. I don't remember exactly where it says it, but that's it)
  • Barely have to buy any games nowadays cause so many good ones just come to ps+ for free ;P
  • i tried downloading the hitman game because its been awhile since i played hitman (hitman 2 actually) and when i went to download it, it said i didn't have enough space on my hdd. the game is 16gb and i had 29gb on my hdd, how can it been that i dont have enough room.
  • @62 you have games downloaded that aren't installed?
  • Jak & Daxter ... Cant Wait. :) PS+ has been really good for me recently (well worth the £11.99 for 3 months).
  • Congratulations EU, hope the US will see the light of these within the next few months, we most likely will, but you guy deserve it for paying for more and waiting longer for such great games.
  • Hmm... this kinda blows for me. I only have 2 weeks left of my plus subscription and am trying to finish off one of the games while I still can. I won't be renewing my subscription as there hasn't been anything thats grabbed my attention since Mortal Kombat some 4/5 months ago. I would LOVE to play AC3 but I refuse to buy DLC for games that I don't own. Sadly 90% of Plus games require additional DLC in order to 100% them so I think I'll be giving plus a miss from now on....
  • assassins creed 3 for free nice one
  • Jak and Daxter for vita and Assains Creed for me! Just out of curiosity is the frame rate as bad as people say on Jak and Daxter or not?
